  Its certainly possible- but may not be “permitted”… There are many ways to get around the rules, I wouldn’t recommend the way Will and Bill did it - sometimes its better to hide what your really doing inside a more conventional plan. Earthships tend to be a big red flag, and just the concept made more trouble for them than was worth it. If you are serious, contact Will directly for more tips…

  Beautiful work amazing video especially because you reveal the real truth which is that you don’t have to kill yourself pounding Tyres! Ive built five earth ships and I’ve done it with children of eight years old and even an elderly lady of 76 who was quite capable of finishing off Tyres using her own genius method of a small hammer and a stick! I made a video a while ago during Covid when I got stranded in Portugal and I was having to do about 50 tires by myself in beating hot sun so I also found much easier way and here’s a link to that video which is as you say quite easy to do and then also I managed to finish it off really with very minimal effort too!   Just wondering, have they figured out the issue of the walls when the tires start to balls because of a compression, I’ve watched several people who are the second owners of a new ship home having to redo the walls because they say the tires are studying the bulge and ruin the walls and they have to redo them?

  If done properly, the tires are at compression when you plaster, then settling in the wall would be a result of improper compaction from the beginning

  Be wise - visit an EARTHSHIP and see if you can smell rotten rubber tires... I hate to rain on your parade... her nose could smell the tires - that means no tires - concrete blocks work... alternatives to consider.

  in Europe the binder mix is normally hydrated lime + hydraulic lime + fly ash approx 4:1:1 by weight. Using portland cement goes against the eco friendliness of the binder.
