I feel like if they don’t follow up on Laurent’s birth circumstance and the chance of him having any type of immunity, it was a waste of a storyline. He doesn’t have to be a “Messiah” but it absolutely makes sense for the circumstances of his birth to have an affect on how his body reacts to the virus. It was done similar in THE LAST OF US so I don’t see why it’s so hard of a concept for fans to grasp.
Season 7 is better than 4 and 5
She wasn't excited or happy for whatever is 'back'. So i don't think she said Rick; im afraid she is talking about Ezekiel's cancer being back, and losing him which i will hate.

Laurent’s power could be, because his mom was bit before having him, he could walk through zombies without getting bit. Also, his blood could be the cure because of that.
Carol couldn’t have said Rick over the phone radio thing. She would have announced it first since his whole reason for Daryl leaving was to look for Rick. Also, she wouldn’t have sounded so stressed. I think Rick does come back but not until after that conversation was had and Daryl went missing. I think it was probably Morgan’s back or Zeke’s cancer is back…

Feels weird to be in a post “Rick Grimes’ return” world. Like I’m all about DC and DD season 2…but Rick was always end game. So it feels less “big”.
Rick brings the Civic Republic to Spain to get Daryl and the European crew in Season 3.. the “going to get communities and bring them in” line at the end of TOWL connects to Daryl I bet.
Josh's disdain for Laurent's storyline always makes me laugh! I don't love it either. We don't need it. He's good with people and that can get you so far in this world - I hope they just lead with that moving forward.

Don’t know about SDCC but NYCC is basically back to normal. There were mask requirements a couple of years ago but it never felt like capacity shrunk. In the past couple of years they have expanded the NYCC venue so in some areas it feels a little more spacious. SDCC seems cool though.
I’m with you guys, I can’t stand the messiah arc in DD 🤦🏻♂️. I need a heavy focus on the variants in DD & also the new ways of refining fuel & working through daily apocalypse life & community building within a massive city like New York in Dead City
As a Catholic, you should know that many saints were given abilities to do things other humans can not just as the apostles were given abilities to heal the sick, prophecy, etc. So it is not out of the realm of literary possibilities that Laurent can have some quality or gift given to him by God that makes him unique and someone people will follow. I doubt they will go this way, but it is not a fantastical concept.

Hey, they've done crazier things in the same universe like fixing a plane in fear the walking dead, I'm a licensed aircraft mechanic and even i won't do that 🤣

I have been of the opinion that Daryl is imagining that he sees Laurant, not that Laurant has actually followed Daryl. I think that "vision" is Daryl struggling with whether he should get on the boat and go home or go back to Mont-Saint-Michel and help Isabel and Laurant

Dead City is like that fr and upcoming in season 2 for character developments and with unexpected character team- ups and new threats being teased, Dead City could be even bigger and better than season 1.

An Aaron and gabriel show would be really dope. Two likable characters that have great chemistry together. I think it would be pretty great. Potentially, even a Eugene show where he tries to connect with a West Alliance, and you could bring Stephanie as well.

i hope dead city doesn't last longer, is just bad, the only reason that hold this show is the fanboys/blind fans (negan and maggie fans), bc they can't see how horrible this show is, I will even give a pass on the writing bc the worst part is they destroying ALL the negan construction, "rendemption" arc, all that problem that maggie and negan had through the twd seasons which they solved by the end of the series, it was all done, and they're just repeating everything 1:1, and now they want to bring a bat again? Cmon, negan had a whole amazing episode just about that...And about daryl dixon, I hope we keep getting the variants walkers and that gimple don't ruin it like he did with the CRM

I'm not convinced they need to do anything else with Laurant "savior "point. I think we already did this. It's the embellished story of a dozen years, of a baby born of a just-turned-walker-mother who developed empath-like qualities as a boy. And happened to be raised by nuns. It's the hope, just as people do in difficult times. They turn to religion and faith and so on. So all of these religious folk grasped onto that hopeful story, of a possible mesiah As you point out. And Madam Whomever sees that hope and inspiration as a bad thing that will turn people away from her New World Order of France. Don't think it needs to be any more complicated or nuanced than that.
Guys I plan to go back to comic con next year the last time me and my dad were there was April 2019 so because a lot of stuff is happening next year both me and my dad plan to go back next year also it's not confirmed but there is a possible rumor that Dead City season 2 might be airing in March of next year
I honestly don't understand your problem with the whole Messiah//faith thing Josh. Laurent LITERALLY was born out of his ZOMBIFIED MOM while being in a FREAKIN CONVENT. As a catholic i imagined especially you would be able to put yourself into Isabelle and the other nuns' shoes. WOULDN'T you perceive it as a miracle that Laurent even SURVIVED that event !?. It has nothing to do at all with Laurent having gifts in my opinion. I'm an atheist so i don't even belief in god or any of that stuff and EVEN i completely understand Isabelle and her friends' mentality.
