Successful Farrier

successfulfarrier.com/ "Business strategy forged in the fire of experience" with John Suttle
Successful Farrier ... a channel dedicated to the business of the hoofcare trade.
Strong business practices open the door to better hoofcare for the horse, better client relations and an increase in the perceived value of the farrier. Most farriers are in the trade because of a love of horses, the freedom and independence of working for yourself and a desire to be creative while making a difference ... but it's filled with obstacles that limit our incomes and makes the job harder and under appreciated.

Join me on an exploration of the struggles and lessons learned from a life time of working with horses ... from a beginner to a highly paid expert and speaker. There's no point in reinventing the wheel, you can stand on the shoulders of others and propel your business in the direction you want it to go.

I had it when I was young, I wouldn’t do it again. Customers have no idea what AFA even means.

I really enjoyed this video. I feel like I should apply the green days and red days calendar method to a lot of things in my life. 🥰

Hi Fran! I've been thinking about you and wondering how you are. I hope our paths cross again in the near future!

That's great, John. I think I remember that suit! Not everyone is as personable as you are; what can farriers do to build people skills without making it seem fake or insincere, since that would make people feel manipulated instead of valued/respected? I'm always surprised when farriers tell me they don't know or care much about the horse they're shoeing...but at least they are honest?
