Great vid like always, nice gravel roads.
Cheers bro 🤘
is TMA a large thing, how much does it cost, how many users? Where exaclty are you? I am getting into dual sport rides, but mostly just in Michigan right now.
TMA is a new moto app from The Dirt Chimps KZread channel, I think there is a paid premium but it's a free app to use. I'm on the sunshine coast in BC Canada. I highly recommend duel sport riding, one of the most rewarding hobbies out there 🤘
Cool video :). You mention that you're using the stock tires. Are those the Mitas E07+ ?
Thank you. Yes I was still on the E07 that day but ordered nobbier tired when I got home from this one haha
@@Rollin_free Thanks. Yeah, it seemed like an interesting ride :). But also impressive how well you did it with the 50/50 tires.
@@bterter I was surprised at how well the 50/50 did but now with proper nobbies the bike is a while new beast 🤘
@@Rollin_free Yeah, they seemed to work pretty good. Thanks for your reply, and enjoy your future trips 🙂
@@bterter no problem and thanks for watching. There are plenty of trips out already on the channel with more to come!
Good times as always 🤘
You got that right!
Videos never do justice it makes it look easy, but it’s not! Good job!
@@MotoDreD thank you, there was some challenging sections for sure 🤘
More work than fun, get a smaller dirt bike for this kind of riding, will be much more enjoyable! I own a 23 890 adventure r and it just to heavy for this kind of riding.
I agree, I'm just too stubborn to not push it haha. I've since gotten more suited tires at least
Fun trails, what clutch lever is that?
Just the power parts one. I don't like it, it is too bulky and chafes my finger
@@Rollin_free Oh, thanks. I chopped and bent the stock one and it’s working ok. I was considering the PP one but maybe not. Do you think you could file it down to make it less bulky? Also which tyres are you using? Those trails look hilarious and totally my bag (*cough* videos on my channel *cough* *gag* lol). :D
@@DanielACroft given enough grinding in sure you could round it out but seems like a lot of effort to me haha. I have the Pirelli Scorpion Rally front and the Dunlop 908 rear, I'm really liking them! Oh cool, I'll check out your channel 🤘
I have an 890 but have not done much exploring with it because I am so nervous offroad. Need a local bud to ride and learn with lol Dirtchimps and chris birch inspired me aswell but no offroad experience is a challenge XD
It just takes time. When I first got my bike I was nervous about everything. But eventually it all just started to flow naturally. Having said that it's always better to go out with someone. Where are you located?
@@Rollin_free Yeah, lots of work to do. I am in northern western Ontario. Got to ask, what did you settle around for your suspension settings? I am 260-270ish with gear and have mine between comfort and sport settings because I found I was tossed around alot so aimed for a bit softer ride.
@@ForbidJoker a buddy of mine put it in sports mode and that seems to do the job pretty good to me!
Silly Canadians think 30°C (about 86°F) is too hot to ride. Meanwhile, eastern US is seeing +100° this July and stuck inside in the AC.
I can't argue that haha. I was in Arizona a while ago and pretty much couldn't handle it lol
Great video! Thanks for Sharing! It's always smart to play it safe when riding alone in the woods. Everything immediately changes when you get your gear on and throw a leg over the bike! Cheers! 👍🏻🍻🏍
Thanks for watching and ain't that the truth!
Location?
Sunshine Coast BC
Great tracks. Keep riding safe.
Thanks, will do!
What an awesome area to ride 🤘
Yeah it is 🤘
Super 😁
Thank you! Cheers!
Here we go 🤘
Wow dude haha when you ended up I'm the ditch me and gabby questioned how you got there hahaha, yapping and gabbing your way into the ditch
To be fair I couldn't see it until I crested the hill and by then it was too late haha. But yeah I was definitely distracted lol
Nice route, more please.😊
Thank you, there is more on the way!!
Yeah buddy 😂
🤘
I had to rewatch your little stunt several times!! Dang, imagine that off on the way to the thing 🙄
Oh man I lucked out big time. My weekend almost ended before it even started! Thanks for watching
OMG, that trail at 6:00 is AMAZE! Don't you know I am trying to work and just have you as background riding? :P Ok, I will stop commenting. I am taking up way too much space. I feel shame. 😆
Sorry for the late reply, just out on an out of town adventure ride 😁. Isn't it just one of the most beautiful trails you ever seen, if you ever make it out the way maybe we can see how far it goes 🤘
I'm jamming to you tunes. :) Want.
There are some bangers on the KZread free music haha
This looks LOVELY!
Where’s the 1290R’s?
That's too much bike for me haha
What Rally mode (number) are you mostly in? I typically ride in 5 but thinking of dropping down and testing 3,4
I just keep it at 3 🤘
Haha, nice and whooopsy trail guys! 🤠🙌
Just a little whoopsy haha
nice ride!
Thanks!
Great tracks. Keep riding safe.
Thanks you 😁
Good stuff🤘
Cheers man 🤘
Hahaha Love your Laugh
Haha thanks bro
Found ya bro. Yes i love this :) great Stuff
Cheers man, I really appreciate the love!
Great video ❤️
Haha well that didn't go as planned 😂
Good times!
Great song 🤘
How long have you had the bike? Have you had any issues with it yet ? Just asking because I really want one but a little scared.
I've had mine just over a year now with no issues. Mind you I'm just under 4k km but it's all been pretty hard riding so only time will tell. But I will say this it's by far the funniest bike I've ever ridden
Where are ya riding?
Sunshine coast Canada 🤘
Loving those tires 🤘
Get right up in that soup! we can do that
Yeah buddy 🤘 At the bottom if you go right instead it keeps going for quite a while!
Nice trials and great music.
Cheers man, I much appreciate the comment!
Nice!
Thanks!
Whenever I see KTM's now I just see a nightmare waiting to happen. After my Adventure R caught the KTM Cam Cancer at low km and has been off the road for just shy of 6 months I'll never own another KTM.
That's fair, sounds like a pretty shitty experience. Fingers crossed I got one of the good ones!
What year is your bike? I’m thinking maybe the 24’s won’t have the issue
@@habibi750 they are both 23s. So far all good and let's hope it stays that way!!
@@Rollin_free I hope so too!
Nice riding!
Thank you!
Looks like a good time!
Cheers eh!
props from a fellow ktm890Advr’er gata love these machines. great job eatin up those trails, love the positive easy going vibes!
Cheers man, I really appreciate such a nice comment! And I agree, I really do love these bikes!
Where's this?
Sunshine coast BC Canada 🤘
Im horrified by the reliability in f the KTMs but enjoyed the video like no other!!! Great share guys. Maybe now that CF moto makes their engines reliability will improve and I will own one!!!🤘🤘
Yeah that's fair. I got sold on the bike before I heard about the reliability issues, fingers crossed for mine came without a gremlin haha. Thanks for the input 🤘
Fun ride!
Cheers eh!
@@Rollin_free People are going to start thinking that BC is a great place to ride adventure bikes! 😀
It certainly is haha
Awesome trails guys! The landscape and terrain looks very similar to ours (Sweden). Perfect to chew up with these mighty beasts.
Thank you. I'm in BC Canada but damn I bet you have some amazing locations for riding!!
where in Sweden can we find roads like these? :)
@@JoasPlace Along powerlines as You see in this video. But a couple of weeks ago in Värmland, we found awesome trails that was "expedition like" and very fun and sometimes demanding or let's say more technical than our normal forest roads. Very fun.
I am having a lot of fun watching, and listening to, your videos this evening. I think you mentioned "Squanchy", right? This seems very familiar. Are you in TMA? I just tried to look you up but see that the latest build does not have a search feature. Anyways, I am digging what you are putting down. People give me grief when I add music to my vids, and I love what you are adding. So, yeah! Nice work!
Cheers eh, another much appreciated comment!! Squanchy is a character from Rick and Morty lol. I am on TMA but don't get on it enough, I'm looking forward to the android app , I'm one of those guys haha, we are friends on there. I have mixed feelings on the music too, for the most part I just want to hear that motor rore and what you have to say but some well placed music can add that extra layer. I've been digging ending the video's with some chill beats and a service road rip! Thanks again for the great comment and stopping by!!
I have this paying on my TV while working on my laptop and testing the latest build of That Moto App. As the proud owner of a KTM 790 Rally, the sounds are very familiar, and each time I look up I see good fun! Thanks for sharing! Are you also in BC? The terrain looks familiar much of the time. :)
Wow this comment means a lot to me thank you! When I was looking into an 890 Dirt Chimps was one of the first things I came across, seeing how much fun you guys have on Scrappy and Cosmo sold me right away . I've watched a lot of your videos, by far my favorite ADV channel!! I'm just outside of Sechelt on the Sunshine coast, I'm really hoping to make it to the adventure bike gathering this year 🤘
@@Rollin_free Wow, that's so great! Any chance of us connecting to ride in your zone?
@@DirtChimps for sure, that would be a lot of fun! I honestly haven't found too many single tracks I can finish but there is a ton of riding out here. I haven't been out there yet but I've heard a skilled rider can make it up to Lake 7
Who says the clutch of the 890 is fragile 😂
Haha we'll see how long it lasts but holding out so far
