Howdy! I hold a New Jersey CDL Class A with all endorsements. I currently operate school buses and motorcoaches in northern New Jersey. My goal with this channel is to share as much of the experience, in as many vehicles, as possible with you all.

I assume this is auto-transmission, if so - Prior to a steep curve or downgrade do you have to put your foot on the service brake and hold in order to downshift to say gear 1 or 2? or is that not even necessary and do you simply just shift the gear shifter into a lower gear? thanks! & this town looks kind of nice during autumn.
@yitznewton20 күн бұрын
The commuter coaches work like you describe, there's an engine brake that comes on when you apply the service brake, and the transmission selects 2nd gear. The school buses, you can manually select a lower gear, but it's usually not necessary unless it's a long downgrade

Boy, Manhattan is a *itch to drive in a car much less a CDL vehicle, I lived in Queens for 27 years I've been living in the Midwest now the way in which people drive in NYC and pretty much everywhere is a stark difference and I'm going for my Class B with S & P endorsements rightnow glad it isn't in NYC lol. NJ sucks too, especially Holland tunnel traffic and some parts of New Ark always never ending construction there lol.😅
@yitznewton25 күн бұрын
One nice thing about driving a bus over a car in NYC is that you have a great vantage point. These downtown runs take us down 7th Ave around 7:15-7:45 which is not too bad... the second run is 30 minutes later and that much worse. Holland Tunnel inbound is just nightmare fuel.
@alexartiststudios798125 күн бұрын
@yitznewton Yeah I mean if it isn't rush hour it's construction, holiday or event traffic I remember sometimes from Manhattan to New Ark it would take 30 min on smooth free flowing traffic & on traffic it would take 1 hour plus. Constant stop n' go lol.

2004 Prius here... got a clicking, sounds like the vent to left of MFD. Only occurs occasionally, and can never get it to happen when parked. :( cycle through all the modes, no clicks, no issues. Finally nailed it down to when center vent used, either center only or center+foot. Air does flow, but I guess vent just can't find it's position. Odd. After seeing this video, gonna try to see what's up thx!
