This is a great explanation. I thoroughly enjoyed this. I have a Capricorn stellium and my sun is in Aquarius so I feel like my entire life has been challenge, integration and transformation.

Basically I have also a planet on the midpoint between planets forming the square. I guess it is a very important pattern on my chart, also it is made of conjunctions, not just one planet to one planet. Sorry for my english. I would be very thankful for any information

Absolutely love this - really interesting re the natal saturn-pluto conjunction - explains a lot! I've not looked into this enough (yes, early 80s here too!) & it really just struck me that Jung is at the root of the 'shadow-work' talk that is gaining much momentum as spiritual teachers talk of 'new earth'. LOVE Anne's 6 reasons why she loves astrology, is it wrong that I want to send number 3 (37:20) to some friends and acquaintances??? ... maybe not given 45:06 .... Yes and i want work that brings me aliveness and thriving! Thank You. One thing is natal charts of people born nearer to poles. There may be two signs totally intercepted including 4 signs in placidus system. Ive Sun, Mercury, Jupiter and Saturn in the 1st whole sign. They are on midpoints ( of each other too) and I think that matters how people sense things in general. I belive declinations count on too, but as in general, it depends on the sensitivity of the individual. Bests💞
The stories you both shared resonated so much with me. One of my earliest memories was in 1st grade we were asked what we want to be when we grow up and I remember saying an astronaut! The solar system always intrigued me from the youngest age it was so amazing to me planets and stars and outer space! I always wanted to be out there and I wanted a telescope. Being in a large family I never got one. Fast forward I am now 36 and Astrology hit me in April this year right around the Aries solar eclipse and Ive been obsessed studying it now. This is so incredibly helpful and insightful! It is concise and logical and and a huge revelation to me right now as I have been studying astrology for only about 9 months and the house systems have been my biggest frustration and confusion. Other information and rationales posed by astrologers have only left mefeeling more indecisive and confused, particularly the "dont worry, just choose a house system" implying nevermind the facts about logic of what may be the most accurate... I strongly feel that house placement and the ascendant as the beginning of the chart are crucial for learning to accurately interpret charts but so many astrologers i admire and learn from use whole sign so ive remained unsure and indecisive. Thank you so so much Wade! I feel I am at last very close to deciding on my primary house system!! 😲🤗🌈💚

I’m still experimenting with different house systems depending on the technique. I think more than one can be valid and can show different types of layers of truth . I just feel like I at last understand house systems, their origins and the way they work so much better since learning from Wades videos. For modern psychological astrology, I find placidus and Regiomontanus very illuminating and I like starting the chart at the ascendant, but I am also fascinated by ancient Hellenistic astrology and I tend to believe for those ancient techniques where chart readings are more predictive and mundane that whole sign is more accurate.
I use whole sign houses to assign topics to different planet rulers because it does not cause intercepted houses or unused planets. But, to study "the house position of a planet" and it's "archetypal experience" or situation, I overlay placidus on top and use that because I believe primary motion and studying the rise and fall of a planet has interpretive value, not only it's topical meaning. Fight me on that 😂😂. I think we must have these conversations and we should stop craping on astrologers for using one system or another, but we should also be critical and have debates like wade said. From my perspective, if houses are topics assigned to signs from their place relating to the ascending sign, whole sign wins. If houses are the study of how a planet relates to primary motion, some systems of quadrant houses win. I find interpretive value on both and both arguments seem fine for me, depending on how you define a house. Is it a topical place, assigned from the placement of a sign as it relates to the ascendant? Or is it a characterization of a planet's primary motion, movement or rise and fall? I use both because both arguments sound compelling and I use placidus because it accounts for that motion, is like primary directions, looks like a sun dial and accounts for planetary hours. I find it quite genius actually, but it's a nightmare from a mathematical standpoint ahah. Regiomontanus seems fine if you believe houses are spacial divisions. Tolerance does not mean we don't have critical thinking, it means that we listen to each other and respect each other, wade is a cool guy.
Wade really is a cool guy and such a joy to learn from. I agree each house system has its own merit. It is still a minefield and I still play with them all lol.

My grandmother used to say "hell is other people" which I've often related to. I had Pluto move through my 7th House when I was in my teens. I mingled with all sorts of people back then, some were troubled, some were bad influences, and some were amazing magical people who taught me who I wanted to be. Pluto is scary in theory, in practice he can be exciting and inspiring. Persephone thought so when she went into the underworld. How is it going for you so far? x

When I look back at the last Venus retrograde in leo 8th house I underwent a long process of psychological and trauma healing with a therapist & other different modalities. I'm Aquarius rising with only water and earth planets. I LOVE the heat, unless I don't have access to somewhere to swim. I have jupiter in taurus in 4th house in mutual exchange with Venus in Pisces. I have been incredibly fortunate enough to be able to move to a house by the sea.
