Hi Kayley Melissa, You mentioned that you use Unite Silky Smooth heat activator. I honestly don’t know how to use a heat activator. Do you spray it directly before the curling iron before it is dry?
If you’re looking for content ideas, I would love to see you do makeovers on local subscribers. You could fine people with all different bone structure, coloring, and hair texture so that more viewers can see what would work on them.
I use both-some days-no fluff kinda girl-when I’m in a fun mood-bring on the curls! Best wishes!!!
Thank you.
Talk too much crap.
Day 3 of asking for a ren faire hair tutorial
My daughter (14) was diagnosed with OCD about 7 years ago. What a journey we've been on! Thank you for sharing and being honest about your experience! I wish you the best with your EX/P therapy. Take care of yourself. You've got this!
I love this. I went through the exact same process a month or so ago: looking for a new stylist in a new town. When I first moved, I went somewhere for a quick trim and had the worst haircut. This time, I did so much Instagram and review sleuthing to finally find someone, and I had the best experience! It was sad leaving my stylist of 7 years, but the research paid off! I went with so many inspo photos and realistic goals. My advice for making sure your hair isn't cut too short is saying "I want to keep the length as much as possible". I also tell them how I style my hair. For example, when I'm working I braid my hair, so I ask for longer layers so they don't fall out of the braids.
These videos bring back memories.
Yes, wavy hair routine!
I’m SO PROUD OF YOU! Pushing through things like that and getting the help you need along the way is SO unbelievably hard. You’re so sweet and I’m so glad to have you still here whatever way you can be. 🫶🏻💖
Day 2 of asking for a ren faire hair tutorial
Hi Melissa, been here since your beginning in youtube☺. I love your transparency and realness ♥️ First comment from me, because I understand what you mean with "could not take care of my self, now I can again". I'm a mom of a 4 years old son with cancer. He got diagnosed in October 2023. The first visit to a hair dresser after his dg... It was brutal. I had lost 50% of my hairs fullness because of stress. Now that he is getting better, my hair has slowly been growing back and I am able to take care of me and my hair again. We are complicated creatures and life is shitty sometimes 🤷
I love you so much, your personality comes through a whole tonne in this video and i have MISSED YOU!
Sis! Keep this cut/ color until you get tired of it. That cut was made for you! It looks amazing!
Late to the party but i’m so glad you’re back. I missed you and ur videos. I’ve been struggling finding someone else to watch for hair content. Glad ur back!
Day 1 of asking for a ren faire hair tutorial
Oooo... yes for me too!!!
So good to see you again! Glad to hear you are okay and that you put your health first ❤
Can you show how to do the “duck and slide” method with a flat iron?
You're like the cutest person I follow I guess.. Following you for years now, really love your content and energy. Hope you're doing better ❤
I am a brand-new subscriber but wanted to tell you that I am so happy for you. I also have OCD, so I know how hard it is to work on it and how it can immensely affect your life. I used to struggle to leave my apartment, but I am now back to working in a lab, so there is hope! Keep it up! :)
Do you find that this is damaging with you? Trying to recover from previously damaged hair?
Oh my goodness I’m so excited for this series. I grew up in a house where there was no knowledge of hair care. I watched your videos but always felt overwhelmed. I’m really hoping to go through this journey with you to heal my very damaged hair. Please if you do the wave training (idk what to call it) please share it. I’m trying to do the same thing but it feels like everyone says something different. I’ve also never been to a salon ever but have been looking into it recently. (But I’m terrified to go) so this was an amazing help thank you.
Oh my gosh. I’ve been away from YT for a bit and I just cried watching this. I am so so so happy to see you. And I’m so proud of you and happy to hear your improvement and work to overcome the struggles in life.
As for anything for future ideas. I grew up in a household where hair care wasn’t really a thing and after watching you for years and finally living out I’m getting into it. But I have no idea where to start. I’ve seen so many of your videos but Im still overwhelmed. Where do I start? (Also I’m about to watch your other videos since this one so if you’ve already answered this then thanks in advance!)
Welcome back, love all your advice. Ended cutting my hair because I never know what to do and always put it up on the same way ; yes with those hair ties 🤦🏽♀️🙃 same spot all the time ... thank you 🙏 😊
Oh my gosh, neurotic blonde, if that's not the perfect description of me I don't know what is! I keep my blonde silver/white. I love my stylist, out of all the stylists I've seen over the years, she understands my blonde the most. I LOVE this tone on you. And that cut is beyond adorable! You are so glowy and beautiful! Missed all your videos, I'm so glad to see your progress, my friend!
The code didn’t work 😢
Kayley, thank you so much for this video and I'm so glad you are back! I lost 30% of my hair and it has grown back thankfully but do you have any suggestions to blend the regrowth? I have so many different lengths in my hair and want it to look more uniform. Would you ever try airtouch highlights? They are like babylights and give a very blended appearance.
Kayley, thank you so much for this video! It truly meant a lot to me to hear you talk about these things. I've been quite sick for over 10 years, and figuring out how to care for my hair and not hate how it looks has been a journey for me! I really like the tips that you shared, and I want to look into getting some soft hair ties! Some other things that have been helpful for me personally are: 1) having shorter hair so that I'm not as self-conscious about how thin it is, 2) working to believe my husband when he tells me that my hair is beautiful, and 3) having realistic expectations for what I'm able to do for my hair. Recently I got a shower stool, as standing up in the shower can be pretty exhausting for me, especially when I wash my hair. Being able to sit has been such a help for me, and I don't feel as anxious or tired about washing my hair now. Again, thank you so much for this video! It helps some very tender parts of my heart feel seen. ❤️❤️
I also hope all the good things for you too, Kayley 🫶 I really like the new length. A wavy routine would be awesome!
Ii only use a straightener. Have for years
I’m so glad you’re back and your hair looks so good! It’s honestly encouraging that it improved that much in less than a year. And I love the way you articulated the stylist search, it’s exactly the way my brain works! Also, your necklaces look really cute: would you consider doing a video on how you find your jewelry? I’m just now realizing that I’ve spent my entire adult life kinda ignoring jewelry and I want to change that lol.
❤❤❤❤
This video came at the perfect time. I used to bleach my hair every second month, but after I noticed breakage I stopped. However, it was too late and my hair just kept breaking off 🥲 My hair is a disaster now and I don’t know what to do
I’m so glad you’re back ❤
I needed this last weekend!
Hi bright by Redken is a good product to buff off that excess crap that dulls the hair.
would love to see how you do this with a curling iron!
So pretty! What heat protection do you use? I haven't found one I like yet
Flat iron.
Thanks for discussing the actual stylist and salons! I'm close enough to that area that I would make a trip for a great haircut and color. I'm trying to go red, but the last 2 times I tried, it didn't work and I've had to wait so long for it to fade, so I can try again.
How would I go about explaining to a stylist how I want to slowly lighten to add dimension? I'm not even sure what I'm looking for myself tbh lol. I just want more of my curly waves to actually be visible bc my hair is all one dark color.
I'm watching you instead of trimming my hair like I need to, yay procrastination! Your hair looks great! I look forward to hearing more about what you've done.
Love everything thing about this! <3
STUNNING!!!!
Thank you so much for all these tips! Also your hair looks awesome! Video suggestion, I would love to see you do some color analysis with a focus on hair colors, and if you need any volunteers for the content I volunteer 😂 but I would also just love your education on the topic 😊
This is the content I've been missing so much from you😢😢😢... Girl you better start posting DAILYYYY😂❤
This is like your super OG blowout with a straightener tutorial! It was my favorite and I’ve used it forever!
I am patiently waiting to be able to do this while growing out my pixie cut😅
Your hair looks gorg! So excited to see the rest of your hair recovery journey
Thank youuuu ☺️ me too!
