Bobby Vala is a sour grapes ex-Hasbro employee. He's also a real asshole. Some of his figures look really nice but some of those face sculpts are brutally bad. BUT he does have Mark Weber on his team now who is an A1 stand up guy, true Joe fan, and really understands the toy business. If they made anything I wanted to buy Id buy it to support Mark. Bill Murphy is also an asshole. He has no understanding of how the toy world works and is very touchy when collectors ask legitimate questions or complain. Fresh Monkey's figures are pretty nice but their business practices are kind of shady and service after the sale is non-existent. I have and would buy from them again but know what to expect. If you want generic soldier guys go Valaverse and if you want weird monster guys go Fresh Monkey. It's not apples to apples. It's kind of a weird comparison honestly.

Awesome review ninja. i agree with you on the blind box argument. i did buy 3 but i wanted one for a custom and my sone wanted to purchase his first non turtle figure. if i had gotten the bloody variant i would have put it up for sale to fund a vanguard and other action force figures i have missed. Another awesome review and straight spitting facts! This figure is amazing and luckily for me, the bloody variant doesn’t interest me, but I do feel bad for those who really want him. Chasing the bloody variant seems like a rich person’s game for the prices they’re fetching on eBay.

Excellent review Ninja. Thanks for your efforts on this one. I love what Valaverse did with Bone Collector. Certainly an upgraded product I hope Valaverse continues doing with their agenda. This isn't a re-paint, re-use type of figure. There are enough unique features with this product that makes it unique. I would imagine Bobby would like to keep it that way. "Jeff W mullet lucky" - that's a keeper!

Yup, quite agree. This Bone Collector is a winner. There is this one cool detail that reviewers aren't picking up on. There's a bit of a visual story on that Ram mask. The left side took a bashing. Someone tagged Bone Collector in the face, with probably a bat. The eye brow ridge and cheek Bone is cracked, the horn is broken and the front mandible is chipped and missing a tooth. That's some crazy detail. Bobby could of went easy and just sculpted one half and mirrored it to save time...but nah...he put in the wrech-time. I got two....sadly no blood variant for me.

I'm with you on the bloody variant being available to purchase at a higher price point, but I also understand it from a business perspective. Having it be luck of the draw means more people buying more figures. If I'd have been able to just buy the bloody variant, I'd only buy 4 figs total. 2 bloody, and 2 regular. Now, I'll probably buy a few more than that in hopes of getting a bloody variant.
