Nice shooting ! You have a nice performing bow there . Keep your hammer hanging !!
love it
keep up the great videos
They kill Big Game in Africa shooting 35lb Bows ... Just sayin 🏹🤙
Shot placement is key
@@peterjuulsgaard I've seen you miss .... Once !!! 😆🏹
@randymiller5008 I’ve missed many times. Thing is that those who do stuff, also make mistakes
@@peterjuulsgaard Luv your Channel 👍💯🏹
Small deer! 😮
Peter, what do you mean the rght distance btw the nock and the feather? how do you measure it?
Thats because I’m using the feather to nose technique. (Using the feather as clicker) in this video I’m talking about it Feather to Nose Technique - Where to place the feathers?? - Traditional archery tips kzread.info/dash/bejne/oGxnrKWQg6rdqrQ.html
@@peterjuulsgaard does It mean you use a feather to nose as aiming technique?
I use it as a trigger for the release. So I’m expanding slowly until the feather is touching the nose. A constant slow movement. When the feather hits the nose the release goes. So you have the unknown release. It have nothing to do with the aim. The brain takes care of the aiming by it self. The technique is to prevent target panic creeping in on you
@@peterjuulsgaard i see. Another question: how would you compare the performance of the sanlida hermit limbs VS bosen 3k limbs?
The performance is approx the same with these Hermit Carbon as with the Bosen LCS longbow limbs. I dont know about Bosen 3K
You don't have vibrations with this bow?
No significant vibrations. Nice feeling to shoot
Great Combo and shooting Peter! What is the length of your string on that 56" bow please? greetings from Vienna
The string is 52” long. Thanks
Hi peter,is it better to keep the bow straight to have reference string or inclined?
That depends on what you prefer. I dont use string for any reference. But I know that some folks do
I'm also shave head peter.
Hahaha
Super curve limbs for bear takedown borders. What do there limbs cost!
840€
I told you that was the best Bow you've got 😅 . The arrow was in the ground before he even moved 🏹
Yes sir
Hello, you prefer the hermit x8 or the royal x8?
Hermit X8 because you can change limbs and you can use the riser for other limb configurations. You can upgrade the bow and adjust the tiller for better tuning
@@peterjuulsgaard Ok, thanks.
Lieber Sportsfreund, Ich würde gerne etwas über den Bogen erfahren. Wie dick war der Stamm aus dem er geschnitzt wurde. Habe einen schönen Tag!
Around 15 cm. Elm tree. This bow is only 54 inches. So it’s backed with sinew, rawhide and snake skin. Have a nice day
Danke!
@frankhanzlicek6550 your welcome
Awesome Pete
650 grain arrow. 60-65# bow?
No 650 grain arrow and 50 pound bow in this case. 157 fps. Low velocity and high momentum
@@peterjuulsgaard Oh heck yeah! What’s the FOC on that?
@marcoaguiar1131 around 27%
Point weight?
@marcoaguiar1131 300 grain point. 55 grain centerpin and 44 grain outsert. Makes it 399 grain in front.
Hmmm, Great Northern quiver, split string silencers, someone has been eyeing my bow set up. Do you bare shaft?
Of course I bareshaft when I’m changing arrows. But if I’ve bareshafted with the setup, I’m not running around and bareshafting the same setup all the time. Cause there is a whole lot of other factors that influence the flight of a bareshaft than the gear.
@@peterjuulsgaard Why that’s just phenomenal!
How hight are you in.saddle
Around 10 - 11 feet to where my feet is planted. Roedeer are small, so we dont need 18 feet
Another great adventure, well done and congratulations on a fine deer!
Thank you
Great review. I like that you are using the winch to draw and shoot from a measured draw length. Thanks

I have been watching your videos for a long time and now watching them with my grandchildren. I want them to know their heritage from Norway. Thanks a lot My KZread channel donallentexasoutdoors
Thank you very much.
@@peterjuulsgaard You have inspired me to go back to a recurve thank you so much👍🏻
Peter, I bought the Hermit x8 in 40lbs. It came in a few pounds heavy and I found myself wishing it was a bit lighter. According to the owners manual you can make some weight adjustments by loostening the screws at the base of the limb bolts and adjusting the limb bolts. Well, as far as I can tell, those 2 screws only attact the plate to the riser. They in no way lock the position of the limb bolt. The limb bolts come bottomed out and if you back them out a bit they are loose with no way to lock them. I know this is not your issue, but I was wondering if you would tinker with yours and see if you agree with my limb adjustment issue.
The manual says loosten the 1 screw clockwise under the limb bolt. There are 2 screws, 1 on each side. They are regular screws and clockwise only tightens the already tight screw. Then they say make your adjustment and lock position by turning the screw counter clockwise.
You are getting it all wrong man. The locking screws are inside the limb bolt (in the middle) it’s correct that we unlock it clockwise with the T wrench. The bolt is designed so it expands when bolt inside tightens. It took a little while for my self to see it, cause the manual is a little confusing at that point
Thank you so much Peter. I believe I get it now. You go down the center of the limb bolt with the smaller allen key. Makes sense. I was looking for something on the outside. It's my first ilf riser so still figuring things out
Your welcome
love your video's
Thank you
Bright green Limbsavers on an longbow? The Tradpolice wouldn't appreciate this for sure!
😂
Thank you for the review. Look forward to seeing you again soon.

Great hunt Peter! It's fun getting to go hunting with you! Thank you for taking us with you! Keep them coming!
Thank you. I’m glad to have you with me
Can't understand
This is my mother language! So that’s why there is english subtitles in this video
Is this thst same ash short bow backed with sinew and snake skin? 48" right? I wana make a backpack bow like that but gotta finish my 64" hickory bow first lol
Yes this is the same very short one. 👌
Hell yea, this is a hidden gem. Did you post a video of you making that bow? I got some osage i wana make a comanche style bow out of
Looks like the tips are flipped a little bit but has some string follow. Was it heat treated?
It has some string follow. And the tips are bend a little with steam
I do not have a video making this bow.
What a shot!!
Peter pls refer to your vid where you compare a draw weight and speed btw the two bows on the 30 m
Which two bows? I dont compare this bow to another bow in any video. I just test with 10 gpp at 28” with every bow. This one shoots 178 fps.
@@peterjuulsgaard no, i mean before, you have had a comparison of the faster and slower bow up to 30 m range in fps showing that there was no particular difference in speed
I cant remember that one. Do you mean comparison of a heavy and a lighter bow, with not much difference in speed? Because I’ve made a couple of those videos
@@peterjuulsgaard yes exactly

Nice trophy buck and a great shot!!! Venison in the freezer!! I just had a venison roast tonight sooo gooda!!!
Thank you
Thank you, Peter, for taking us along on yet another wonderful, successful hunt. I know that the shot was close, but steep downward angles like the one you handled perfectly here have always been very difficult for me. Congratulations, Chris (Maine, USA)
Thank you for watching
Great hunt! Congrats!
Thanks man
Great video, shot, and hunt Peter!
Thank you bro
Great review. Thank you Peter

Great shot, congrats Sir :)
Thank you
5 yards. Duck that! Great shot. Didn't have to stop that one. Three blades are impressive with cutting inches. They are much bigger on the cut than their width reveals..
Yes they make a big hole
hi Peter i would want to buy a Scorpio Saddle but do not know how, may you give me the web site ?
When the war in Ukraine startet we where cut off to the Scorpio saddle. We cant buy it anymore. It’s made in Russia
Very nice! Congratulations👍

What's you favorite 4 mm shaft For good weight. I shoot 49 pounds at 28 draw. 58 inch Bow Not a super curve. Thanks😊
