  I also have the same issue of only 3.2 gigs of ram being recognized on my hp, im pretty sure using the server version of windows 10 fixes this problem but its still kinda annoying

  What's interesting about old games is they can look like garbage on newer systems simply b/c higher resolution really makes the lower-res textures stick out like a sore thumb. This PC could probably play STALKER, and look halfway decent. I played STALKER on a 2010's PC that had intel integrated graphics, and had to lower the res from 1080p to 720p. B/c, at 1080p the highest-quality textures looked pretty bad. When running at lower res + anti aliasing (which would have been "high quality" for it back in the day) it looked good and ran great. These old boxes are perfectly servicable as daily drivers and old gamers. I was broke AF during a period of my life, and a dumpster PC like this carried me for a couple of years. It always kind of bothers me when folks make vids crapping on old free hardware. It's free. One man's trash is another man's treasure.

  7200rpm hdd + upgraded ram means someone took care of this pc for a bit before it ended up in the scrap heap. It prob had a gfx card in it. But, since gfx cards are still worth decent money, they probably stripped that out to sell or moved it to their new box before mothballing then chucking this one.

  6:26 my pentium d and my core 2 duo pc that I used to have did that as well with 4gb of ram and I don't know why even with 64 bit windows. One of the later core 2 duo pcs I once had though didn't do that so idk 😂

  In school every year we have an elecrronics garbage collecting. People would throw their unused and old computers into a huge container. I always like to get some stuff out of it because 99% of that equipment is still working perfectly it's just obsolete. If ya need free PCs look there... 😂

  If you want to get a cheap gaming PC, go find a discarded office desktop and replace the integrated graphics card with an low profile GTX/RTX graphic card. Most likely the office desktop has a decent CPU and RAM since they were used for demanding tasks and with a low profile graphics card inserted you actually get a great gaming pc for cheap!

  nice video! tho i think windows 7 might've been more usable with the basic or especially the classic theme. also, steam still works perfectly fine on windows 7 and 8.x.

  im heavyly fucking with your content as someone with a lot random old PC laying around your video got me in the mood to once again try and fix one current PC count in my basement is 6 PC, 2 mac, 5 laptops this does not include the gaming rig. but other wise all those have been either for free or for less than 10 bucks.

  @@PrimitavePCs mine had a 500gb hard-drive, 2gb of ram, some random integrated intel cpu/gpu thing and was weirdly modular on the inside with a completely custom motherboard and the sides kinda like hinged outwards really cool design but the thing itself was really bad for anything other than playing gmod at lowest settings at a solid 30fps except for the context menu which slows the game down to not responding when rendering the previews
