I think the issue is you were someone that was regarded as a leader that's why they were hard on you. Please don`t leave the church. If possible, sit down with them and try to see if there is something you need to do to sort the issue

What saddens me most is how Christians in church pretend and are first to throw stones at others!!!!!!!!!my take is do unto others what you want done to u, if u want others to talk kindly to u,do the same, show mercy and grace the same way God would do you and others. I remember the late Gregory Isaacs’ interview when he was in Zimbabwe for a show. He was asked about his Rastafarian practices & if he eats meat.
