    Thanks buddy. Sadly 95% of society don´t have 250k laying around to spend on a porsche. Otherwise that dream would´ve been fullfilled already in the form of a 991 touring

    I also own a 335d and it is an excellent car as long as its maintained properly and tuned and deleted. Just like any other BMW brand expect to pay a premium, other than that it is a great car definitely better than the 335i in terms of less heavy maintenance.

    OIR is probably the greatest track in North America right now. About the same length as Road America but with quite a few more very technical sections. The reason most people do not like it is the fact that it has complex sequence of corners that is only rivaled by VIR. Turning a good lap time at OIR requires not only proper line but also pointing at very specific angles and a great degree of commitment. It is an "Old School" European style race track. As with any track my best advice is spend time with someone who knows the track really well and respect it. I have been there 3 times and the lap times have dropped quite substantially since the first trip.

    My 922 is the same color combo, also two months old, also with retractable sun roof, and coincidentally I too just drove mine about 1200 miles, r/t from DC to Asheville, NC. Not surprisingly, I have the same impression: it is a wonderful car in every way: power with Sport Chrono, great handling in mountains, e.g. on the "Back of the Dragon" (aka Rt 16), it's great fun for everyday errands, and a conversation starter from admirers. Wonder how many “tech experts” commenting are owners. It is simply amazing how often the people that love to correct or provide tech info at every turn, are nothing more than magazine cowboys preaching to the choir. ( are you SURE that base engine isn’t 3.0234 ??? ) 😂

  • @winkstorm
    @winkstormАй бұрын

    The base Carrera has a smaller turbo than a Carrera S, not just the software. Yes you can flash a ECU tune to get more power than a standard S but if the S does the same, it will have more power than the tuned base.

  • @gilbertferguson1685
    @gilbertferguson1685Ай бұрын

    The base Carrera has enough power for everyday needs. If you live in an area that has 93 octane gas, you can get a tune that will boost your hp because the factory settings are for 91 octane gas.

    What a nonsene guys: The Turbo/Turbo S have a 3.6 liter engine, not a 3.0. This are complete different engines. Also the turbos are completely different and much bigger. To propose the engine power is a question of software is just stupid. Sorry, you could know better. Join the Porsche homepage. All data is available.

    To add to his point about the convertibles being more rare, realize that convertibles are also less loved (cared for and maintained). A lot of them are bought by people that can't afford to keep them running well, and / or are modded with poor taste or even wrecked by morons. So they will be even more rare in the future as they drop like flies until they are more appreciated by the enthusiast community. Once classic cars are old enough they say "when the top goes down the price goes up".
