Density altitude is always where airplanes fly whenever they fly in the middle of the air. Before you kick the tires, & light the fire, always make sure your airplane knows it will be flying at density altitude. It will know this if you are diligent to follow a complete and thorough pre-flight checklist, making sure your airplane responds appropriately when the checklist expects it. Your airplane will appreciate your efforts in this regard, and will do its part to keep both of you "out of the ditch" or rolled up in a ball. As we used to say during the War, "Keep 'em Flying".

Rhodesia was the most wealthy, and beautiful country in Africa. The Rhodesian Military and the Volunteers tactics are taught today at West Point in the US to all points of the World. The Rhodesians and their ’Fireforce’ successfully fought off Communist forces on all sides but South Africa. The World was a better place with Rhodesia in it. Zimbabwe is a failed state with no money, no infrastructure, no education, no nothing except Mugabe and the Slaughter he was responsible for. Shame on the World for letting Rhodesia collapse. The first attempt at what we know now as Wokeness. Now in 2024, As Rhodesia went so goes South Africa. Once a successful, wealthy, tourist destination has turned into a poor, third world country that openly encourages the murder of Whites by the South African Government.

My foray into educational films began with "Shake Hands with Danger" a supplimental safety video given out by CAT and a few other heavy equipment manufacturers. It has a really poppin' soundtrack. This informational is pretty decent, though the music isn't my bag.
Those fish are still good after a 400 mile trip hahaha.

46F at middle of day at 7,600 feet? I’m at 10,100 feet on Kenosha Pass, CO and it’s hot as balls (81F) at noon! Global warming is definitely real.

very interesting video - clear explanation -- except the units were all wrong -- woh ? farenheit, miles per hour, etc. all this non-sense. should use standard units that the whole world can understand -- although I appreciate this movie was made in times when USA was a closed world - confusing themselves as being the whole planet -- well, I am wondering if this is still the case ? 🤔

We didnt have them back then. Headsets were used by most pilots until the late 80's and 90's. Just one speaker overhead cranked to the max! Its why I'm deaf today

Those medivac helicopter flights landing on top of helipads 10 stories up in summer when the ambient temp is 110 F. in OKC worry me. At least, when you are leaving an oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico off Louisana in a helicopter and you ask the pilot how does he picks up airspeed, he obliges by clearing the landing nets and diving off the side of the rig straight toward the water. Your ass puckers up so tight, you walk funny at the airport.

Watched this very video during Phase I at Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center way back in April 1982. Then we had a quiz that, of course, included a few CAMI questions. Fun times.
