Daily life of a Canadian foreigner living in the Philippines. Travel adventures, home repairs, auto/motorcycle repairs, living costs, and enjoying and loving all the beautiful gifts the Philippines gives us every day.
I have a 2016 NISMO RS Odd front tires one is newer than other Brand new control arm fitted week or two ago. Drivers side is about 1,2 years old Pressure is good on acceleration no hands on wheel it pulls straight to the left. With slight lift on the nose Steering wheel sits tad to the right when car is straight don’t think it did this when I purchased it in 2022
@johnpogel8993Ай бұрын
I’m doing this right now. It’s a pull to the left on acceleration and a dump to the right on coast. Just replaced tie rods and may as well do the motor mount; since I got the part.

@@philippinesforthesoul yep, mine were practically new. Must have popped the passenger side bushings when I bonked the curb?(winter’s get icy here) Idk. The rubber was intact, but the bushing’s mating to the control arm was dislodged. Thanks for the video.

Sir, Superb video. I just purchased a 1992 Winnie Warrior....the EXACT same damage to mine. Without your video, I would've been at a loss to locate some of those hidden screws and the correct sequence to disassemble. Also, your recommendation to paint the areas over the cab before assembly was spot on. The only thing I'm doing different is not putting that 3/16 luan spacer in. I want the side to fully overlap the bottom for a tighter seal. The bottom had pulled away and left a gap for moisture to get between the filon and wood. I figure if there's too much excess filon for the corner molding...i can trim or sand down. Thanks again!

Thanks so very much for your comment. So happy that this short video gave you more confidence to move forward with your repair. These older toyota's usually have low miles and so much life left in them. With a few weekend repairs you can have an amazing unit that will last you many years😊

@@philippinesforthesoul the "shop" that replaced my front control arms <15k miles ago are saying no issues w/them even after an inspection. Even did an alignment to try and fix! I have got the same issue. Whereby upon accelerating and then letting go of the accelerator the car pulls to the left. When I accelerate it pulls to the right. My tracking is definitely out as I’ve had it checked. However, I need to get the control arms checked first before I do the four wheel alignment. What would you suggest to get done first ? Of note due to tracking my steering wheel is off.
@philippinesforthesoul6 ай бұрын
Yes for sure, get them checked out. Just be aware that they may not even appear to be bad when inspected. I had mine checked out before allighnment, and they said all was fine.
