The Reiner speech at the table was more than that, perhaps, I mean, he was talking about a world better than them, but they still needed to justify their existence and the reason for why Marley keep Eldians alive. So they had to believe that even if deep down they don't believe in all the lies they tell, is like USSR were, everyone was lying all the time to everybody trying not to get caught and snitching each other's out.

Juat a reminder that Eldians are clearly a portrayal of WHITE PEOPLE being subjugated after losing all their former power and being brainwashed to hate themselves (white guilt). Paradis is based on Germany and has a lot of parallels with NS Germany. Hajime Isayama is a pro-Imperial Japan nationalist, etc. Attack on Titan is clearly a story about white people (we can also draw parallels with the Japanese) having lost all their power and influence, all their empires and being subjugated by the winning side of the war (J€√√$). Attack on Titan is a redpilled show 🍷🗿 xD

I think maybe AoT should have ended here. It just feels like such a beautiful and appropriate place to end it. We have already arrived to the ultimate point of the show, which (to me) is that relentless pursuing of freedom leads you to seek power and hence trample on the freedom of others, and so the cycle of oppression continues.
