Good
I assume you mean good that we have created so many habitats for wildlife in our garden.
So awesome! Watching you create this magic but I can't wait to try it myself...this afternoon. Thank you so much for sharing. I think you are in the UK. I am on the west coast of Canada on Vancouver Island. Thought you might like to know that you touch folks fo far away.
Thank you. I am in Norfolk UK. I have been out when visiting a friend in Alberta and I love painting in Canada.
I absolutely love your seascapes. Is there somewhere where you describe/demonstrate the colors you use and your blocking in process. I would love to paint 1/10 as well as you.
That is such a kind thing to say. Thank you. This video might give you a bit more of an insight. kzread.info/dash/bejne/gZqruNaOYry1ZLg.htmlsi=1-t6pjJveXSedWEC This is some info from a recent workshop re colours. Acrylic paper or canvas. I will be working roughly 20x16", or A3, 40x50cm I am fascinated by the edge of the shore where the land, the sea and the air meet, creating foam, waves and shore. I will use a 30mm flat brush, a medium flat, a number 8 round brush, a number 2 round and a battered old brush for splatter. These are not essential, just for guidelines. It will depend on your reference as to what colours you will need, but I expect to use ultramarine, phthalo, white, yellow ochre, raw umber and grey as a minimum.
this one also shows the blocking in, albeit sped up a bit. kzread.info/dash/bejne/c2mE18Gddt27nZc.html

Hello Denise, thank you for sharing this absolutely lovely watercolor painting. It so inspired me to try something similar. This is so soft and yet the pen work isn't over powering. I do quite a lot of pen work on my mini paintings, I like how it defines things if I don't get crazy with it. Thank you so very much for this video. I'm from the U.S.A. just so you know.
Thank you for your lovely comment. I have a few viewers from the U.S.A. welcome.
Love it. Real expression and talent.
Thank you 😊
🎉🎉 lovely touch
Thanks
I used to say that I was nothing but the medium of exchange between my paper and brush. This takes the notion to a level everyone should love because an observer of an art work always does his own creation between the eyes and the art. It’s why they love it, because they create too in the process. Great stuff.
Fabulous sentiment. Thank you.
Absolutely beautiful.
Thank you very much!
You remind me of Princess Diana! Beautiful! And I love the sheep! So cute!!
Thank you. So kind.
I’m looking forward to trying this later, Denise. I’ve never used a palette knife with watercolour.
It's fun. You don't know quite what is going to happen.
Such lovely work!
Thank you! Cheers!
beautiful work! thank you for sharing, cheers from Robyn in Australia! 😍
Thank you! 😊 hello to Australia
Can't get to your video of your visit to this garden - says not accessible (private) !!
Try again. It should be working. Let me know how you get on
Thanks Denise. Working now @@artydenise
So pretty. You paint what could be a complex pictue withspeed and ease. By the way, the rosehips are Prickly wild rose : Rosa acicularis XX
Thank you. And good to know the rosehips.
Beautiful! I enjoyed watching your process. Thank you for sharing!
You are so welcome!
Awesome work! It is so peaceful to watch you paint.

Thank you so much 😀
Love it
Thanks
So atmospheric !
Thank you
Lovely demo Denise. Great sense of movement. Thank you.
Thanks
Has anybody used their Sanguine color please? Is there any Colorex Swatch somewhere?
If you google Colorex colour chart several will come up.
Hi Denise, Can you tell me what Cuttlelola Black Knight has that the original model doesn't? Fabulous bee, mesmerising to watch - thank you
Glad you liked the demo. Thank you. I have only used the original dotspen. I have not tried the black Knight. I had a little search but couldn't find anything. I can only assume they are making slight changes based on feedback perhaps. Its looks great. I love using the pen and don't use it enough. I now want to get it out and play.
@@artydenise Thank you, I couldn't find anything either. Yes get it out and enjoy it. I have the original one - got it out after watching you - it's charging up now :))
Enjoy
Lovely. I really like your techniques.
Thank you
Lovely. I will use this technique on my valentine tree. Thank you!
Great idea
Wish you would have taken off the tape!
I try to remember but forget sometimes.
Love this video. I see the pen needs cartridges. What sort of ink do you use! Is it the waterproof kind?
This pen needs cartridges. I use quink ink which is not waterproof. I live it when it washes out a bit too.
I have also now got this version of the pen which is refillable. amzn.to/3tRazO5
@@artydenisebrilliant! Thank you 👍
Love watching your painting unfold Denise and how lucky you both are to have such a fine friendship ❤
We really are.
Absolutely my happy place! Thanks so very much for sharing Denise! ❤
Mine too!
Wow lovely. I noticed that you put white paint on the canvas. In which you had said that you had put silicone oil in. I have always been told not to put oil in paint that was going to be put straight on to the canvas! Does it matter that paint with oil in is put on the canvas?
As with all painting there are rules. But I like to play. I would say just experiment and see what happens.
I was told that the oil will separate from the paint in the drying and push the paint away from the canvas. That would leave gapes of which the canvas would be seen
@dcgray1733 I didn't have that issue at all on this one. The only place I put the white with oil in directly on the canvas was in the center. There was no pitting in this case. But it is only a small canvas. It may be more tricky on a larger piece.
A great painting Denise - thank you.
My pleasure 😊
