I was diagnosed with stage IV kidney cancer as a 29 year old newly wed. Follow my journey as share my experiences & create content to help answer questions I had along the way, in hopes it may help other patients one day.
I am so happy for you! ❤ I cannot wait to hear this for myself but at this stage, despite clear scans, the cancer is still showing up in my blood, so they’re telling me that it is incurable at this stage but I am going to hold on hope! 😊 I also have 10+ lesions on my liver that are looking to be unrelated but still scary! Congratulations Katie!

Hi Katie. I hope you're doing well. Chromophobe RCC survivor here. My 7cm tumour was discovered incidentally last July, and 10 days later my kidney was removed. Stage 2. Told i have a good prognosis. Onwards and upwards.

So sorry it took so long for your diagnosis. I'm in UK and currently been waiting 3 months and just got CT Scan for a "lesion on kidney" they found incidentally while doing an ultrasound on my private area.

Yeah, I'd say rather than "you should be mad," go with "if it were me I'd be mad" or "it would be entirely reasonable and understandable if you were mad." It's not up to anyone to tell others what they should or shouldn't feel.

Sadly this just happens way too often to young women for me not to be angry. 'Oh it's just health anxiety you're fine' but studies show a man of the same age with the same symptoms will almost always be taken seriously and ran through a litany of testing. I'm glad you're not resentful, but my god does your story frustrate me. I'll work with doctors when they finally start working with me

I’ve had weird symptoms for over a year. Fatigue, urinary issues, vision issues, elevated heart rate, GI issues… the list goes on and on. Finally they sent me to get an ultrasound to check my gallbladder and found a mass on my right kidney. They didn’t get a great look though so they’re not sure if it’s a complex cyst or a tumor, but I’m scheduled for a CT scan and some other tests. Trying not to freak out till I know as not all masses on the kidney are that dangerous. Still, with the symptoms my wheels are spinning.

I had a similar issue but That was with Adult Hydrocephlis. It took 15 years to get discovered and resolved. All those doctors that just say you are depressed or imaging issues. I also have stage 3 Kidney Cancer but that was straight forward. Blood in my urine, CT and sent off to my Urologist. They removed my left kidney and we are monitoring to see if it spreads. 1 year down... I know it's a real problem when you don't match the normal medical criteria. Odds are you don't have the issue but it still needs checked and not ignored.
