WBRZ in Baton Rouge, in my home state of Louisiana, used to run something like this every weekday morning before sunrise. It was called "WBRZ Weather Channel." The notices only appeared at the ends of the row of dials, not in between, and were much better drawn/painted.

This was the affordable, small-ensemble version of the classic theme that Alexander Courage recorded for the pilot episodes. It was used on a few of the earliest episodes, then, as budget allowed, a fuller, richer version with strings and a full brass section was recorded and was used for the rest of the first season. Most, but not completely all, of the first season episodes' end credits finished with the classic shot of Susan Oliver ("Vina") as a green Orion slave girl.

Brought back memories of where I worked in the late seventies early eighties across the tracks about a half block down that was a monastery for a church order nuns only. The bell rang promptly @ 6AM. Noon. 6PM for the time and then an interlude. They were leasing out space to public service agencies by the mid-80s and while I'm sure the building is still there today they are probably moved out completely

All my life i 've been fascinated with trains. I still fondly remember as a child, in the countryside, lying in my bed at night and early morning, hearing the sounds of the old C.I.E (Irish rail) diesel turbine engines, rumbling in the distance as they passed through and took off from the station in the neighbouring town. Something so comforting and almost otherworldly about it all. Great presentation here, thanks. 👍😎🇮🇪
