I am a professional photographer and artist with a long background in both film and digital. I have owned over 30 dslr / mirrorless cameras and over a 130 lenses. I'm here to give you tips from all of my experiences over the last 20+ years of shooting professionally. I hope you find it valuable. Recently I switched systems from Nikon and Canon to Sony and Olympus.

I was looking for this for a month now.
How is it even possible to play it this fast and theis good with your eyes closed and your head turned away.
So this isn’t compatible for a Sony A77 ?
very helpful and thorough, thank you!
Very helpful, and thorough, thank you!
Double lens cap. Nice tip.
This is a great channel, are you coming back?
Please allow me to inquire. In 2024 Olympus pen f Still interesting to buy and use? I found 1, a shutter number of over 52000. Is this the real number of shutters? And is it still usable?
go dox... godox
cool
It's like saying America and Ameryka are both correct. They're not. Only one is. You're welcome.
Recently upgraded from a X-E1 to new-to-me X-E3. Thanks for this helpful video!
You gotta sound southern....and then say jeebus y'all demons git out
Good video!
Very late for this. Just a comment on something you said about there being no gears. My unit died, the way most of these do, and have seen on YT. I decided I have nothing to lose, so I opened my unit up. Don't want to nit-pick, but there is actually a geared focus motor, which is usually the culprit of the dead lens, the nylon gear gets jammed and under the strain the nylon gear splits and the gear teeth are stripped or cracked. In my case, I didn't have that particular issue. My issue seemed to be jammed Iris blades. They would get stuck in their tracks. I got some dry lubricant and placed some on the iris blades and iris tracks: took me a few times to get it working. I now have this great little walk around lens working again, yay!! I primarily use it on the Sony NEX5R, but it works well on the Sony A7R2 as well, in crop mode, of course. thanks for the great video.
Damn, what video, really helpful mate, thanks
Thank you so much!
Have you gotten Wireless HSS/TTL on 3rd party flashes/Transmitters on Sony?
I know I'm very late to the party, but...... Thank you so much for your most informative review on the TT350. Far and away, the most helpful video I've seen.
does this flash works with sony a 6300?
I have a long winded question. So I have the sony a7riii and I'm using two Godex TT600s with Yongnuo transmitters. If I put the transmitter on the cameras hotshoe and then put the flash on it, it does not work. the trigger will make the camera take a photo but will not trigger the flash so I have to put the flash directly on the camera and then plug in the transmitter with a cord to the camera so it has to dangle. Any idea why that is?
That's an odd one.i haven't played with those transmitters. The simple solution is get a Godox transmitter and have full control over those tt600s.
Incredible!
On for video, off for photos?
I converted my Rx100V, quite a bit less involved than this but still extremely nervewracking. The hot mirror snapped while removing it(it's only wafer-thin) so that was a moment of panic. Also got shocked by the flash cap no less than 3 times. Not too bad overall, still wouldn't reccomend. If you're just getting started in infrared, perhaps modify a cheap old point and shoot, some you just remove the back cover/screen and the sensor is right there, having only removed like 5 screws.
I want to use godox x3-s with the 860iii on a sony a7iv but not sure about the compatibility
Its compatible.
one of the worst product photography i've ever seen!
I won a sony a300 from ebay auction for cheap, plan to make it my first self-converted FS camera. keeping my good (nikons) cameras as is, probably sending a better one in in the future so it's professionally done.
I couldnt move my fingers that fast if i was chasing candy! Lol...kidding sort of? There is nothibg to complain about at all..maybe i agree with the fella who suggested " just set up the camera and" ... i say.. stand back : )
Good review and information! I've owned the Samyang 45mm f1.8 for years, it's my only modern lens and I'm very pleased with it. Why do you limit your audience to the only country left which uses antiquated measurements? Saying or putting up text for us folks in the rest of the world would make your videos more welcoming to us, at a minimum. There is a huge world outside the USA.
Great video ! Thank you !
Do the smart thing, set this to the slow profile method that uses 10k plus samples and go to sleep. Process takes about 4 hours, one monitor per night. Also, DisplayCal now disables the monitor sleep mode while running
why would you video your screen...
Will this flash work with Canon R6 Mark II?
That last statement concluded my reason not to get it.
This just tells me that Americans will do anything to make everything conform to what they want/like. Even defacing the proper name of a brand for it just to sound what they want. Identity has value and calling someone or something something is the bare minimum or respect. I'm telling you, for the longest time here in asia Nikon is always pronounced "Neekon".
Thank you for sharing this wonderful adventure and the beautiful infrared captures😊
You should have used a light meter and the same modifier for all of them; wasted energy, useless comparison
Thank you so much for the explanation on how to set it as a slave. Saved my day!
Informative 🔥
Man I have Sony a7III and I night club photographer I use Sony around 4 years and 6 time per week I have fights with this problem, after your video I deleted that black color and it’s really works. I have question to Sony wt.. ? Thanks man I return to this video just said you thanks 🙏
So this lens is now going for about $400, what is your opinion now that the price has decreased by $200?
Thank you!! How do you go back to NO radio transmitter mode?
Great video!! But despite being setting everything right, my flash does not fire after the shutter button being pressed!! How should i solve this??
Some great tips here and a nice walkthrough of different scenarios. Love the tip with the polarisers.
Please download the image to your computer and view. Don't view from the website it shows a totally different gamma reading.
6100 is sooo bad in low light situation . damn - soo much noize iv never seen.
Ahahhahaha no toilet paper you no you lying
Would love to see this vs the Sony f2.8
Great video and pictures. Havana is a very unique city and a paradise for photographers but in the same time it is sad to see how poor people live there.
Thank you so much this video really helped me 🎉
