    Btw, I wanted to post a comment on your latest video (great one again!) and could not. Could it be that you selected the option "yes, special for children"?. In this case, comments get deactivated. I was particularly happy to see your comments on "The Clash" album, brought me some old years back. I saw them in concert in Paris in the early eighties, was a great moment :-)!

    it's really a great track so much to see and very well filmed really a track to remember and admire again from time to time Yet a small point for improvement: especially in the beginning you produce so much text at the bottom that the track itself can no longer be followed If you put text below or above, in my experience, you are either watching the film or the text. And you offer so much in one film that as far as I'm concerned you could have spread it out over 3 films. I think there are many viewers who drop out early. And that's a shame, because everything you show is worthwhile. And for me as a "reactor" you also make it easier. So to respond to it substantively: to what is happening.

  • @MarbelHeroes
    @MarbelHeroes2 ай бұрын

    Yes, it was an unexpected effect. We did not try with marbles arriving with a smaller speed, though. Then, it might be that the 'flipback effect' does not take place and that you have a switch of direction after each marble. Have a nice sunday!

    I really like the dive into the layout. The only problem with a large marble machine is that it is ahrd to tell where the marbles go! Although I suppose that is also the fun of it all.

  • @MarbelHeroes
    @MarbelHeroes2 ай бұрын

    Thank you for your comment! That's absolutely accurate. One of the remarkable aspects of Gravitrax is its versatility, offering numerous avenues for enjoyment. Some enthusiasts delight in constructing expansive tracks that span entire rooms, while others relish the challenge of devising intricate tricks, even if they succeed only occasionally. There are also those who craft meticulously symmetrical Mandala-like tracks, among other creative endeavors. Personally, I find joy in occasionally designing what you refer to as "marble machines" - setups where hundreds of marbles continuously cascade in various directions. I then enjoy capturing detailed footage of these mesmerizing motions, trying to compile them into captivating videos, and concluding with explanations of the machine's mechanics.

    Thanks, Marble Hero, for the tip. Really good video. I don't see that very often. I think the changing of shot (the square that rotates) is very well found. What program is that in? I would move your camera a little less myself. Adding those bloopers is a real find. Because yes, things do go wrong quite often. Especially when you start filming, it seems.

  • @MarbelHeroes
    @MarbelHeroes3 ай бұрын

    Yes, it is always when you start filming that things start going wrong :-). I use Filmora from Wondershare. It is very good but it is not for free. I had no idea what to take when I started editing and found this one particularly intuitive. Now I am kind of stuck with it, first because I am too lazy to learn a new software and second because I am sometimes want to reuse/modify already created sequences, and this is only possible if I keep working with filmora. But it's ok, I am having as much fun editing the videos as creating the tracks, hence it is a good investment, I guess ;-). Which software do you use?

  • @GravitraxRein
    @GravitraxRein3 ай бұрын

    Hello @@MarbelHeroes I have tried a whole range of software. Also Filmora. Found that I couldn't do enough with the free version, like cropping, cutting out and improving the appearance (color and brightness). Filmora/Wondershare I found very good but really way too expensive. Movavi was a lot cheaper. And I like it just fine, in the end. I can do with it anything I need. And it is really easy to use.

    Ja, diese riesigen Trichter machen richtig Spaß. 3:27 In all my large builds for video, I use wall putty to stick the tiles to their platforms. It takes hours and hours of extra work that should be unnecessary if GraviTrax was better designed to click together like Lego bricks.

  • @MarbelHeroes
    @MarbelHeroes4 ай бұрын

    Thanks for your comment. Yes, I remember a fb posting of yours where you complained, for good reasons, about this lack of tightness between the tiles. It's funny, no later than yesterday evening, I wrote the scenario for my next video (Part II: Bridges - please do not tell the others :-) and, mentioned exactly this problem. I admire a lot the genius and efforts you put in solving the difficulties with genuine GraviTrax elements (e.g. the mentioned wall putty), like in your Pachinko wall. In my case, I must admit that I do not really mind not using only genuine GraviTrax pieces. Probably partly out of laziness, but also because of a certain lack of space, time and GraviTrax pieces, I usually prefer to involve some of the pragmatic solutions offered by our GraviTrax 3D-part printing friends all over the world in order to get quicker to the wished result.

    Impressive track! It reminds me of the days when I was building with Spacerail. With Spacerail you made just everlasting tracks too. You filmed everything very nicely, with nice details. However, what I miss is the experience of looking at such a perpetual track ... in its entirety. I suppose that's not feasible cinematically ... but that is the experience that makes such a perpetual track so much fun, mesmerizing. Now it's just ... an impressive sequence of shots.
