    Many years ago, a friend and I were fishing the Mississippi near Cohasset, MN., and had our canoe tied off for lunch. Like you, I had my bait dangling just in the water as I navigated opening a soda when the water was exploded by an 8-pound pike that had decided to test my 19-year-old heart. Great video with lots of action, and I'm sure the lunker is just around the next bend.

    Bro I’m wondering if your rivers ever clear up ? Are they always that Red mud color or do they clear up a good bit when it’s low ? Wild how it’s straight mud bank and bottom. Rivers in my area are all rock. Gravel to medium to big boulders . Interesting how different that area is to the rivers back east in Appalachian Mountains. Your soil must go down and down definitely not hard to build a basement in that area 😂

  • @ChasingtheMoby
    @ChasingtheMoby13 күн бұрын

    Thanks for watching! It'll never run clear, but when it's low sediment will drop some but you won't be able to see more than a few inches underwater.

    @@ChasingtheMoby The culture here is a welcome break. Poverty is at almost every turn, but most of the people are amazing. How they go about their daily lives without the need to feel insulted at every turn is refreshing. I would need at least a month of practice to drive here, and even then, a sign on my car proclaiming myself a tourist and to please have patience with me ... and in my 53 years I've driven in LA, Houston, and Boston. The fishing from shore is not great as fishing is a way to feed the family here. Much of the shore fisheries are depleted. What is caught from the beach here, looks like it belongs in an aquarium in the US. But, heck, it's fishing, right? 😉🙂
