    Thank you for a clear instruction. It's my first time and I spent the whole day on the process. Finally everything went through, but after going through all the bank info, it got disconnected itself. What should I do besides doing it all over again? Please give me advice. Thanks in advance. Ida

    Fascinating video! You've done an excellent job exploring the dot-to-dot niche and showcasing how to create these engaging activity books. Your use of BookBolt and Photoshop to illustrate a dinosaur dot-to-dot was impressive and clearly demonstrated the versatility of these tools. I particularly appreciated your honesty about the tedious nature of creating dot-to-dots from scratch and your suggestion to use BookBolt to save time. Your video has been incredibly informative and inspiring for those interested in the activity book niche. Well done!

    I'm not aware of that site, but I'd imagine it's similar to other premade... Which I'd say ideally no, you can utilize them, but add extra to them or mix and match and add details. That'll help you to avoid duplicate content

    There is a better way to use Photoshop for making dot to dot book. It is basically like the feature of BookBolt, but better in some ways.....Not sure why you haven't shown it.....Maybe, you wanted to emphasis on BookBolt feature.

    RE: Copyright.gov. I'm sorry to say, this gov site is the worst ever developed. BUT, aside from that, I've copyrighted my songs, films etc since the 70's. Is there a way to find a LIST of all of my copyrights on this website? Meaning I don't have to search each one out. I've put in my legal name which appears on all copyrights, and it seems to just randomly pick ONE of my copyrights. Hoping there is a way just like (BMI) for example which will display all of my published works. Thank you, Joel Justin

    If you're interested in making dot-to-dots, or pretty much any other activity book, I'd recommend giving BookBolt a try. It mainly helps to save soooo much time. I've got a little affiliate link here that you can click to get 20% off, which also helps out the channel! Use code 'selfpublishingempire' at checkout: bookbolt.io/4598.html Thanks for checking out the video and I hope it was helpful. I'll 100% be publishing some dot to dot books in time for Q4.

    If you're just using downloads as is from creative fabrica then yeah that's a risk too. I use creative fabrica mainly for fonts, but also use images - when I use images it's normally as part of my book, or I edit the images to make them unique. Amazon doesn't want you publishing books with premade content.

    I personally wouldn’t recommend pricing lower than competitors. What this create is a price war and the only person that wins is the customer. Keep your pricing competitive but make sure you are making a decent profit per sale.

    An honest report about learning by doing. Without any shouting, but with facts on the table. Most critics here goes to all the online advertisers. What are they doing for your investment of more than 700 bucks into advertising. Its ridiculous the low conversion rate. And the increasing prices of online ads seems to have no end. Remembers like the gold rush times. The most money makers had been the traders of shuffles and gold washing pans, while most of the dreamres who started to dig for gold ended in poorness or even lost their lives. Its time that these giants like google, social medias learn that business owners have to make profit to pay the bills, and have a living from. And as freelancer the risk is to get a burn-out. To produce monthly 300 coloring books for a realistic gross and net sales revenue is just not possible. So for what is all this "e-commerce" good then ? - Tks for sharing and good luck for your next 20 coloring books. Hope the numbers progress positively.

    I think you'll be absolutely fine. If you were to publish under a new pen name then there's not really any conflict and/or benefit really. If you wanted to use the same author name, liklihood is that you wouldn't be able to link to the two trad published books, but people may find you by searching for your name - I'd just check any contracts to make sure you're allowed to do so!

    Awesome video! Thank you. I have a question about page layout. I’ve handrawn all my design for my new colouring book with a 1cm border around the image. (Every 2nd page I have added a pattern that goes to the edge of the paper, instead of a blank page ) Do I need to add extra to the left of each page for the margin? Cheers from Australia 🇦🇺❤️

  • @selfpublishingempire
    @selfpublishingempire11 күн бұрын

    So for edge-to-edge prining you'd want to set your manuscript up for bleed. Then your 2nd pages would fill the entire page and the bleed area. You coloring page would be placed within a border within the margin settings :)
