I feel stupid for asking on an earlier video if you were inspired by the fractal north case. Its obvious your skill in woodworking goes way back. It's really commendable that you're multi talented in things. This is art. You know what would be cool, is if you made a case that looks like an item thats usually made of wood in the first place. Like a piano, a boat, a building, something like that.

Your work is amazing. I would definitely buy one that has panels that are already pre-made. So when it got to my front door, I could assemble. Also, because I don't have/afford all the required machines to make such beauty, I have to buy if available for purchase.

18:00 it doesn't, in my opinion, the combination of 3d printed black pieces with the wood doesn't seem quite right, don't get me wrong tho, the build is really nice with a lot of details sorted out, but as someone with severe OCD, it doesn't look quite good, i would 3d model everything and send the models out to a machining shop to mill them out of stainless steel and after that anodize all of them or simply powder paint them.

Thanks for the feedback. That strategy would certainly yield even greater parts. I probably wouldn't invest that much into those plugs specifically as by that stage it would be cheaper just to buy the black ones from EK. However, in saying that, I do acknowledge that the print quality on those wasn't the best. I was using a rather old and cheap printer and have since upgraded. We should be seeing much better quality on the printed parts moving forward.

Very neat look, The only thing I dont like, is some of the 3D printed parts look a bit ugly, where I suppose support material had been used. I would do some kind of filling to hide that and match the quality of the rest of the build. Im talking about things like at 26:21. The rest is flawless.

For sure some of those printed parts leave much to be desired. Was using a rather old cheap printer. Have since upgraded and we should be getting much better quality in parts moving forward :) thanks for the constructive feedback

Looks like box you can found on your grandma attic. Is it the best case you are managed to make? Such a concentration of tasteless “vintage” parts, my eyes really hurts seeing such thing. Did you ever read something about design? At least watch 5 min videos about proportions.

respect for their work. the case looks really awesome. Nevertheless, I would always prefer a metal case. Wood stores heat, so the principle will never work as well as with a metal case.
