Great video! I can't believe I just came across this video after 9 years of it being posted. I grew up in The Sans in the 70's and 80's but life moved me away. Greatest place on earth! My mom still lives in Paramount and of course I visit every chance I get.

Un alcalde que trae un "doctor" para decirte que hacer con tu salud es una mala señal....lo que ago con mi cuerpo yo que les importa ....My body my choice
Having a City Mayor bring in a doctor decide what you should do with your health is a HUGE red flag...
This is really good I've ben here for my bday and the food was great to the the people that still haven't went go now it's delicious
espn, open door policy, church to white kid with lowriders, jaws build up to ,after school watch towers kid, smoked white liners, sing the song.....don't want more.than one breazas royball.on the phone again blame me ,can't show you mayflower to skin, after poke backs,no cops on speed dial, come from the top of rocks upon there heads faces on back ,skull rose's to smoke came up willed off the adults, to grow up in two weeks, betting blind on double max to reaches.home.base.
Talk to your trusted doctor. If they recommend it then take it if not then don't.
👻👻👻👍👍👍
Having sat through many City Council meetings, this video wasn't anything more than I expected. However, the public comment from Sandra DeKay was disappointingly common. The woman may have spoken out in an unacceptable Council form, the issue she represented was equally important if not more than any other speaker. She is totally correct in naming her neighborhood the "Paramounts Forgotten Orphans". This is an issue that affects the community and asking repeatedly for additional police patrol is not a wasteful complaint. The Mayor of the City took her job beyond the scope of integrity. Something should be done!!! Secondly, with reference to the charging stations for automobiles never discussed the cost of charging, but as an onlooker, it most likely will be passed on to drivers and I found it extremely humorous when the question revealed how many stations exist and how long it takes to charge the automobiles. Talk about a cart in front of a horse. But like I said, this council meeting was exactly what I expected.
I love Paramount! My hometown! Grew up on the Santa train in December, please keep this great and wonderful tradition alive and going! Awesome for the kids and adults!
Great video! Great interviewers! I grew up in Paramount next to the apartments on the northwest corner of Downey and Somerset, there was a old white house there now condo's. Paramount is now a beautiful city one of the best in the country it's a ideal location with the best weather in the world!!! I still have a lot of family that lives in Paramount till this day! I visited there this past Saturday and went to the best burger place in the world which is located in Paramount, "Tam's!" on the corner of Downey and Alondra! Keep Paramount "Beautiful! and continue to prosper and grow!!!!
Well played! I actually have a cover of this song too as well as tons of videos extracting John Lennon's contributions
Discriminating, nepotism filled council.

What a beautiful way to start the City Council Meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance and a prayer. Congratulations to Ms April Villanueva for being the first recipient of the Mayors Award of Excellence & to Ms Emily & Melissa for their leadership in their High School Class. Best of luck to these young ladies, the student volunteers, teachers of the year and everyone else who makes Paramount a great City

CC: Briana Villaverde's Live Public Comment Hello panel members, I am a resident of Paramount and I am calling to express my disappointment with the city of Paramount and this group that is pushing an ”All Lives Matter and Cop Sympathizer agenda”. Pastor Grady Jones’ comment in the previous discussion saying “We don’t defund the police, we employ them”... its extremely disheartening. I find it especially disappointing that rather than commit to divesting from an institution that is rooted in racism and oppression, the city and this group, by affiliation, are literally asking that community members have BBQs with cops, the very people who terrorize black and brown communities. Paramount’s proposed 2021 Fiscal year budget calls for an increase in Public Safety expenditures --- $13,040,050. Public safety expenditures are already the biggest singular portion of Paramount’s budget. I want to know how we can expect to work on police relations when we see time and time again that cops abuse their power and are violent in nature. For the youth in Paramount, we see sheriff’s cars parked outside schools and have “school resource officers” which is just another way of putting cops on campus and policing us. These aggressions are what fuel the school to prison pipeline and hinder our community’s growth and thwart our efforts of social mobility even within our K-12 system. I want a city that values black lives, black culture, black feelings, black art, and black communities - However, we can not value them until we fully divest from the police and aim all those resources towards our community whether it be affordable housing, counseling services, or to remedy other social needs. Thank you for your time - No Justice, No Peace.
That looks GOOOOOD
looks delicious!

Is this app still active?
I want to first thank and applaud The City Of Paramount Leadership Administration for creating a Unity Panel. By utilizing KZread and supplying the necessary support and services is an immense conduit to reach and address a multitude of Paramount citizens. This Unity Panel provided an intellectual atmosphere conducive to the stimulation and interchange of ideas and for us as citizens to look beyond obstacles. It is significant to know that our city is advance in visionary Leadership in ways that can best serve our city. I believe that it is important for our Citizens to unify. It is an excellent idea to start the new Unity Panel by including a panel of skillful everyday citizens and our Sheriff department. The Unity Panel shared tangible, positive awareness for the benefit of all citizens. I believe awareness, open mind, understanding of each others cultures and backgrounds can lead to growth and a catalyst for a successful betterment of Paramount's citizens. I think it will be beneficial for the city to continue to evolve in improving our communities with a varieties of panels to promote quality awareness.
👍
I loved christmas growing up in Paramount (1966-1984), and i really miss the night santa's helpers would come down our streets ,and let us know santa's sleigh would be stopping on our street soon. On every neighborhood street the city painted big stars on the road ,and that's where santa's float sleigh would stop , and kids could sit on his lap & let him know what they wanted for christmas, then he would give you a big apple, orange, and a candy cane. Back then santa was actually the mayor of Paramount, and he made sure every kid, and adult got those treats every year. It's great to see that wonderful tradition still going strong, kudos to the great people of Paramount (i miss you) for making me proud of where i'm from. GO PIRATES ! ! ! Bob.G

Extremely disappointing to hear the panel today for Paramount’s Unity in the Community group echo the mayor’s, Peggy Lemons, sentiments on All Lives Matter by continuously placing emphasis on phrases like "ALL races" and "ALL people". Specifically, I strongly see a huge disconnect in saying you support the BLM movement and then also going on to say “We do not defund police, we employ them” & “We will not be raising our fists, this isn’t a black power thing”. The BLM site specifically has a section and video stating "We know that police don’t keep us safe - and as long as we continue to pump money into our corrupt criminal justice system at the expense of housing, health, and education investments - we will never be truly safe." - BLM.com If you feel the city of Paramount and this group that they are advertising on their front facing sites and social media isn't doing enough to address the community's issues then SPEAK ON IT! The people in city council have treated it like a revolving door of self-gain and personally, I am tired of it.
