  Yes, we brought an Easycut R 320 last year and it is a brilliant bit of kit and a joy to operate. Our tractor also really appreciates its direct drive system, compared to our last cheap belt driven piece of crap. Cheers!👍

  Maybe someone can answer me this: Why two knots? I know Hesston big square balers etc have a double knot system too, however some (e.g. Claas ) use a single knot just like on a 'small' baler 🤔

  Hello, thanks for your message. With the 2x knot per bale, twine is not held by the knotter system during the bale formation process. Strain on knotter components is eliminated and less pressure is exerted on the twine which can be problematic with high bale density. Baling output is increased due to the fact mistie % is significantly reduced. I hope that helps 🙂

  I’ve learned its easier if you just pay attention to how much net wrap you have left and when you can start to see the tube that the net is wrapped on, stop the machine, unspool 2-3 feet of net off the old roll, cut it with a knife and just tie your new net roll onto the old 2-3 feet of net that is still in the machine.

  i do that also .......net wraping system on a 1250 was built by a man with arms 5ft long ........other than that a good easy driven baler ..........

  probably the only drawback with the 1250 .........the net would sometimes act up on you ...........otherwise a very underrated baler ................

  Finally I see advantages I having autonomous tractor without having big size tractor. I used as dairy work vehicle carrying feed, tools n equipment like UTV. At harvest time it could follow me to field with other farm equipment n be hook up to field bins to unload grain into semi trucks.

  ... and how would that work with his stack wagon? He said the stack wagon is much faster that loading a trailer, unloading a trailer & then stacking the pile.

  Nice video Laura, thank you. On our Krone BP890 I had some troubles with the reef (square) knot holding when making bales with force above 90%. I used the surgeon's knot last year and have eliminated knots failing between rolls of twine. You show the reef knot starting at 3:00 and the surgeon's knot is like it, except there are 2 twists on the bottom (instead of 1). I also set the colored plastic markers on the grease reservoir to the level of grease after loading it and stirring it for a while, so that I can see that the grease is being used while baling.

  The way the VFS accumulates incoming hay until there is enough to make a decent sized flake is very important. We have a number of smaller fields and due to their shape, it is not feasible to rake a spiral pattern, so headland windrows are used (which means the baler has no hay coming in the pickup when turning at a headland. Just like with thinner crops or fields that don't allow higher travel speed, there will be times when the plungerhead is ready to compress a flake and there just isn't enough hay that has been picked up since the previous flake was made. The instrumentation shows the operator every time the VFS does feed a flake into the bale chamber as well as number of flakes per bale, and average flake thickness. It provides as much information as you want, but does not need to be constantly managed by the operator.

  This Active Pickup is a simple, very sturdy system, nearly jam free, and requires little maintenance. It does a very clean job of getting all the dry hay up and into the bale. We are very pleased with ours.
