Looks like a lot of old 570's.. not bad machines but never held up like the 992's. Good for lighter work/ loading off of a stockplie. Hard digging. CATS

Great video of mining machines working up close! When was this video made?

Probably mid-1990's. The truck at the 3:30 looks like a 1990 Ford F-700 dump truck. It didn't sound like it had been well maintained so, I'd give this video about mid-to-late 1990's.

@@BlackPill-pu4vi Thanks, I didn't notice the Ford dump truck. I guess the mining shovel would not have been in operation much later than the mid 1990's.

Looks like they were moving the old River King to it's last pit. Nice footage of the shovel on the move!

Some of the only available footage of this machine. Shame it is such poor quality. Fascinating nonetheless The enormous demand for energy in this country has not diminished and putting an end to fossil fuel production is completely absurd when you watch the size and complexity of the operation needed to produce so much energy.

Tried horizontal drilling in Colorado(Energy Coal Co) in 1964, wasn't very successful.Ended up having to jackhammer and pop the rocks left that were too big for a 7400 to dig.
