  Yea, many of us cheered because we had waited sixteen years for George Lucas to get off his ass and make more Star Wars. In retrospect, we were wrong and the movie deserves all the hate it receives today.

  Funny enough there’s a large group of people who saw the movie as kids and now actually love it unironically. Most agree it’s the weakest of the prequels but it’s not severely hated on as much as it used to be. That same generation though views the sequels as the worst films they’ve ever seen. If you’d ask me it’s ok to dislike any of the star wars films, but to actively hate them and try to convince everyone else they’re the worst things ever created as if films aren’t subjective is just pathetic. Especially considering a lot of the criticism given to the prequels, sequels, and even originals can be pushed and forced onto any trilogy out of the 3.
