His name is pronounced Jeff-Tay not Heftay. I am very exvited that we have a replacement for Ridvan in. Fitter, bigger, more robust, more powerful, Brazilian flair and pace going forward, good range of passing and can score. He will also improve defensively under Clement, I have no doubt. He is young enough to still improve alot, which makes him very exciting. He will be worth big money for us if he fulfills his potential. I hope people back him, give him time and a fair chance. He is not Tavernier. Hopefully as well he has different mentality to him as well. Unlike Tav he will have the pace as well to track back. As long as he gives his all and makes the runs he will do well for us.

His passing range is good, as is his pace. He can develop the defensive side further with a bit of time. Give the lad a fair chance.

No prior history. So hopefully not. The reason we keep getting injury prone guys is because we have been buying and loaning injury prone guys. Sima was injury prone before he came. Same goes for Ridvan. Matondo as well. Hopefully Koppen and the new recrutiment team fix that.
We need another first team left back, ridvan gets injured all the time and I would be worried going into the new season as Jefte being out only backup, we have seen how devastating; it can be having a full back who can't defend i.e Tav.

Yes he can and he is young enough to improve as he goes. No doubt Clement believes he can improve that side. No younger player is the complete player and we have to take some projects on and give them time and backing. It seems some folk are sitting with knives sharpened for the lad before he has kicked a ball. Not fair at all. Let him play for a bit then decide for yourself. No doubt Clement will work with him and all the other players in pre season on any weaknesses or deficiencies.

Nah Ridvan sold for me and Jefte for left back. A guy who is robust and can play more than a few games without breaking. Sterling for RB, I agree, and we need a Right and left winger in. Hopefully Cortes left and maybe Traore RW. I also want a 2 new CBs in for starting, a striker and a 10.

@@williamn01 Sterling has played everywhere in this team and been available after a period of injury. Rodvan is perennially injured each year. He was this way before he came. As good as he can be on the ball, he is useless of it and too small for Scottish football. We have Jefte now anyway. End of story. Watch this summer. Ridvan will go back to Turkey.
While it's good and much appreciated to see Joshuas take on our new singings strengths and weaknesses, we need to remember that other teams in our league can watch these vids also and use them to show defenders etc of those other teams just how to counter and nulify their qualities on the field.
Most professional teams now have their own video analysis. They won't be hovering over Rangers review videos.

The likelihood is that we will play 3 at the back next season with Jeftie taking up a wide wing back positionwhen he are on the front foot & the 3 will become a 5 when we are defending with Jeftie dropping back & tucking in beside the left sided C.B if implemented properly it can work well but both wing backs will have a lot of ground to cover per game & need some speed on them both Jeftie & how ever plays as the right wing back would need to be absolute flying michines. Personally, I'm not a fan of 3 at the back become in my view what you gain attacking wise you lose more defensively.

Jefte is full of Brazilian flair and pace going forward. He is also young and can improve his defensive game, whoch no doubt he will under clement. If we can get a quality, new CB pairing to start games then that will be less of an issue as well. Goldson, Davies, Souttar are not good enough and hopefully Sterling replaces Tav for RB which gives us further cover defensively.

I think it will be more like 3- 5- 2 formation next season the way things a starting to shape up.
@@alanfox691nah not with Jefte brought in as left back. I doubt that. I think Clement will go with the same system. 4 at the back. We have to clear out the worst deadwood in the team. That's the defense. We need a new defense. I would put Sterling at RB. Tav, Goldson, Ridvan, Davies and Souttar can all go for me. Ridvan is like a broken bag if biscuits, looks a good deal until you realise you have nothing but crumbs. He is taking a wage each season and can't stay available for long. That's no use. Tav £30k per week, Goldson, £37k per week can't defend well enough against our rivals and are the cause of quite a few dripped points ina season defensively. They aren't getting better and are not worth the clubs outlay. Same goes for Ben Davies on £27k per week. Compare that with Maeda on £16k per week, O'Riley £15k per week and Kyogo on £19k per week. Maeda and O'Riley cost Celtic around £1.5 million each. They are tearing our so called captain and vice captain apart time and time again. Theu have been here too long and have had their day. Davies is more suited to mid table English Championship football. Plenty of lower level English clubs would take him. Souttar is never a Rangers level CB. He is also a ticking time bomb for injury.

When you are saying Jefte name it is pronounced as it is written down with emphasis on the e at the end you you should produce it like Jeftee, like it, has a bubble ee at the end. I dont know why you seem to think it is pronunced with an H at the start that is absolutely not a feature of the Portuguese language at all.

Jefte is like a left sided version of Tavernier. Let us hope he can deliver that sort of impact.
I think that's a cheap and unfair comparison. Jefte is young enough to improve from a defensive point of view. We should let the lad play and see how he does before actually comparing to any player. Hopefully he is better than Tavernier defensively and he improves on that quickly as Tav is FN useless at defending.

For me ridvan is the best wingback in the country on his day. But his injuries have been appalling this season and basically since we got him. we have a huge decision to make on him this summer, keep and hope he stays fit, or sell and reinvest the money throughout the team. will be interesting to see how that plays out.
