Is it still for sale? I want a Victorian house. And my husband wants a modern house. And you've combined the two! I love the house. You did a great job!
It’s sold but thank you so much!
My dream home 🥰🤍🥹
Thank you!!!
Does he get paid tho
He gives the show the books for free I was shocked myself! Such an amazing dude to do that! He said he has gotten a fuck ton of paid business from all of this though so I’m happy for him!
Neck tattoo: Elvis, Ricky Nelson, who?
My Dad lol
Good for you John, worked hard to get this and it's great to see this!
Just imagine a whole neighborhood or block with these modern Victorian style houses?! It would look amazing!
HELL YES!
If I ever win the lottery to get outta poverty I'll keep this man in mind to build my modern Victorian.
Let me know when I’m ready!!!
Someone PLEASE hire this man to design our US City's. This is a perfect revival style, Old World looks with a modern twist!

Letra se destruye la casa destrúyelo es rockero rockero, ✌️💯🤟
Joist hangers are for more than just trusses and headers. They're used anytime a horizontal framing member is not terminating on top of another framing member, but buttressing it. It can be a deck joist into a girder, a ceiling joist into a header, a ceiling joist into another ceiling joist etc.
"circulation of the airflow for the vent" WTF... It's called gravity bro. The loop separates the air and water. Water is too heavy to go up and over the loop. Meanwhile air can diffuse and backfill the partial vacuum created by the draining water so it all ends up flowing normally.
GIMME THE CARROT JAHN
Hahahahah who the hell is this?!
Which windows & Doors manufacturer is this? Awesome build.
Thank you! RAM windows!
Just do not mess with the main structure. It is not worth the hundreds of thousands and the permitting so that you cannhave an open concept
This is a $1.5M renovation lol
When getting an engineer inspection for pre pour. Is that the same as getting it inspected by the city of Austin ?
No they are different inspections. You get your engineer who designed the project to inspect as well as different city inspections. But as part of the city inspections they want you to upload your engineers inspections to the city system.
@@johngioffrebuilds thank you! I Appreciate the response 👌🏽
Joist
Wrong this is a manufactured floor truss. They are made off site with multiple pieces of wood. They are custom designed and shipped to the site. A joist would be if it was a solid piece of lumber like a 2x12 etc.
💪🏻 💪🏻
Thanks Nestor you’re the man!!!
Youre missing the circular parts on the exterior
Amazing work! Keep on pushing.
Thank you!!!
I like how they bolted the hanger to the header.
This is a really cool idea for people who like classic style but want a home that is brand-new, easier to clean, and visually clutter-free. That being said, I personally love the cluttered and dark original victorian style, and would never choose this over an actual historic home.To each their own! We love to see it!
Us engineers mostly guess 😂
I'm being punked, right?
So aggressive with the word p And it needs more holes in the floor for the drain 😂
Where are the BOLTS?
Don't this need a vent valve?
Why you yellin?
CAUSE ITS HOW I TALK!
Stupid.... clogs up.... use a damn air admittance valve... change it every 8 years or so takes 30 seconds.
I remember using a johnson vent or a trombone vent, which did connect to the vent system when doing an island sink
Nahh this is incredible
Thank you so much bro!!!
This is common, the manufacturer should already have the remedy prescribed in its brochures....
You are correct about new trusses but these were existing so the engineer recommends!
@@johngioffrebuilds.....passed warrantees? Yes.
@@MalleusDei275yes this is an old house we are doing a renovation on!
shoddy garbage.
Dedicated ventilation
Why don't you just use a studer valve
Studer vent is what I always see
Probably did 0 consultation with the pumper..Probably last minute order as usual. Bring your pumper into decision making process..especially when it comes to mix designs.
Lol not the case at all. It was the pumper that promised they could get it done. The guys were trying to save money and it bit us all in the ass. It happens. I ordered a boom pump for the next week. All ended completely fine.
We usually stub up for the rough-in , cause ya cant cut the entire bottom of the islands cabinet out too go around all of it
The island is custom built around it.
Why do this to your guys?? Just get a boom pump. Slow AF line pump on a 40yrd pour. Imagine being this cheap🫵🏻🤡
It’s my guys that ordered it you bum lol
Epic fail if in fact you had room to get a boom pump up there..way safer too..looked sketchy..I've been pumping for over 40 years..usually ordering the pump is an after thought..bring your pumper into the decision making process..especially when it comes to mix designs and pump ability. I've seen this a thousand times.
@@johngioffrebuilds. Not a bad idea to have the guys that are actually going to be doing the pour to order the pump..reason beaing they can awenser any questions about the pour alot easier and more accurately than an office staff person could who's never been to the job site. Looks like a mix design and delivery hose size problem..a little bit of everyone's fault.
Did you catch any hangers with only one nail in them. Lol
cant do this in v.a. and its stupid just use a aav
A similar fitting is installed onto the drain line that comes from the commode. It is called a turd trap.
It is called a p-trap because it traps any pee that backs up from the sewer.
It makes sense it will work better than an air valve.
You can’t do that it’ll confuse the air 😂
Why not run a combination waste and vent line?
I like how he points out the necessary details and not just "this is right or wrong". Also got that Penn Jilette voice.
Thank you for watching!!!
