His modulation of the hi-hat creating that lovely swirliness, his flams, his overall groove, his fills, his speed, his kick foot control. Drummer's drummer for sure. Miles beyond any contemporary for groove. You can hear why he became a towering pop music star purely in his drumming.

We need to hear Evenflow. Dave A's drumming is really symbolic of what he brought to Pearl Jam. Pearl Jam, has great as they are and as successful, still missed out with not having Dave for the long run.
