Hi, my name is Doug and I'm a singer/songwriter, musician and vocal coach. I'm dedicated to sharing everything I know about these topics on KZread, sharing my music recordings and becoming the best creator that I can. If you are interested in building your voice from scratch the way I have done check out WWW.DOUGZED.COM. I will show you absolutely everything I have learned to improve my vocal sound, increase my vocal range & be able to sing and perform in front of audiences.

I absolutely love it when Beavis gives butthead shit
I just wanna be able to scream and belt without being afraid of my neighbours hearing me. It would be weird, since I live in a rather small community where everyone knows everyone, so yeah.
i sound 90 years old omg
great video doug, would love more Thursday videos. their latest single has some absolutely insane vocal flexes. geoff is hitting notes in his 40s he couldn't dream of hitting in his 20s
Oh wow, thanks for sharing! I'll check it out
No matter what I do I can’t get rid of tension
I can’t reach those notes… anything I can do?
so to scream like this, i have to be able to sing? gg.
silverstein or motionless in white?
Awesome video! You’re really good at the distorted singing sound
Thanks Kaz, I don't think I could have done this sound in the past very easily. Definitely is something that has built over time
I have no idea how to "bouce my uvula"
Sick song!
Thanks for watching!
Do you think you could take a look a Ice Nine Kills vocal style?
hoping for a cover of the classic one okay rock song never let this go
thank you so much for the info! really appreciate it
Brother you know what I try it and I just puked 😂😂😂 so funny good teaching❤
How are you enjoying their newest album that came out this week? Let me know!
Disappointing album, boring af
I think he's saying "BUTT-HEAD SUCKS!"
It’s obvious Josh farro had a solid understanding of music theory, the guitar in these og paramore songs was always really clever. But it shouldn’t be understated the level of production that went into to making those full range chords sound good w distortion. That’s what makes the sound imo. Very carefully layered guitars w eq.
Great vid Doug! 🤘🏼😎🤘🏼
Almost there on that fry scream for me. I just need more practice.

who cares ego-man
Thank You for this. Btw Do you need Video Editor? I do edits video including audio.
as a female, I have also ear training:D and whistle notes :o
Now here's the million dollar question. Does Butthead truly suck 🤨
Full video is up on my channel called "Transforming My Singing Voice - 3 Things I Wish I Knew Earlier"!
I CANT STOP COUGHING BUT ITS SO FUN LMFAOOOOO
sounds awesome man!
you said Butthead sucks... huh huh huh
This is a perfect example of what I try to explain about singing this genre. So in almost all guides it suggests singing with out tension and staying relaxed however I find it difficult to balance the two. This sounded so good you crushed it. But I can’t balance being relaxed and not tightening my throat and face trying to get the notes out.
Do some Anberlin and Underoath while you’re at it dude
Thanks! Yeah I was considering an Under oath cover
Very good cover
Thanks!
One of my favorite songs all time you nailed it
Miss this kind of music!
Song was a banger. Nice vocals bro.
Thanks!
OMG man, are you serious?
I love this song, this is sick!!
Awesome! Thank you
Stellar vocals! Digging that beard too.
Thank you so much!
This is the vocal warm-up I've been looking for! A complete demonstration across all notes. Thank you for this :)
Love this man!
Thanks Kaz!
Great song choice and great vocal cover! I’ve always struggled with relaxing when recording clean vocals, so they always end up sounding a bit strained.
Thanks for watching! Oh I see. Have you identified why you struggle to relax your voice when recording?
Honestly I can’t say for sure. There’s probably some self-consciousness there, and I think I push too much from my throat and not enough from the diaphragm. Any tips for changing where I push from? I always seem to tense my throat too much or something!
@@theodoresorrow without seeing and hearing you do it, it's hard to say. But you identified something which you are already aware of- it sounds like you're not applying enough pressure to your stomach muscles (diaphragm) when singing and this is causing your throat to tighten. Give that a try.
Thank you! I’ll give it a go 😊
Oddly enough, this track showed up in my daily shuffle while i was at work 👍
I hope you enjoyed my cover of Thursday's Understanding In a Car Crash. I've loved this song and the band for many years but had never actually tried to sing this song until recently! I decided to make a quick cover for you this week, and it was really fun to do the singing, telling and screaming parts side-by-side. What a great song!
Im self taught. It's incredible how I did same things... Amazing tutorial for someone starting out
