Lamps of Light Project is a nonprofit organization established to empower individuals, families, and communities to confront the challenges of chemical and behavioral addictions via education, treatment, and other resources. While our services are available to the general population, we do have a particular specialization in the Muslim community due to the pressing need. Our approach is centering individuals who have battled the darkness of trauma, neglect, and addiction- then recovered- to be ‘ LAMPS OF LIGHT’ to others in need of guidance and support. Our mission is to provide compassionate, comprehensive and customized care to those who struggle with different levels of addiction. At the same time, we strive to eradicate the stigma associated with addiction so the greater Umma can witness the nobility of every human being and contribute to the positive transformation of those in recovery.

Islam influenced by paganism in Mecca (Bakkah)? The Pagan influence was very strong in Arabia, It would be unfair to say Muhammad wasn’t influenced by his surroundings. The same as we are today. Islam has Paganism all over it; there is not one thing in Islam that is specific to Islam. HAJJ Is a Hindu PAGAN Practice, circumnavigation around a BOX, RUNNING BETWEEN THE HILLS OF SAFA AND MARWA, SHAVING YOUR HEAD BALD, THE CRESCENT MOON SYMBOL belonged to HUBAL the Moon God who was also another God worshipped at the Kaaba PRE-ISLAM what a coincidence. Today his Symbol is seen outside of Islamic places of Worship and Flags. The Muslim will tell you one of two things, either the crescent moon represents the Lunar Calendar or the OTTOMON Empire. One thing I would like to add to treatment is support from other muslims going through same things. Women supporting women and men supporting men. Sharing our contact information so we can help each other if craving comes and we are close to relapsing we can reach out to other muslims and ask help and also share the good days with other people.

SubhanAllah this was by far the most powerful. As an athletic director in an Islamic school, youth leader for over 20 years in Islamic communities, this needs to be on repeat in every masjid. May Allah preserve Usthad. As a woman saying all this, I get scouted for, but alhamdulillah that a man is saying it. This needs to be on a repeat!!!
