Jesus' entire mission on earth was prompted by LOVE and was directed ONLY at teaching the Truth of Existence, for without this knowledge, there is no hope of redemption from the travail which mankind is born to endure. I know this statement will bring much grief to sincere and dedicated followers of the christian religion, and those who have centred their entire faith on the person of "Jesus." But I tell you truly: to succeed in ridding yourselves of the humanhood which holds you back from the full realisation of UNIVERSAL TRUTH, and the understanding of the true nature of the "spiritual-human" condition Jesus termed the "Kingdom of God," you must turn away from the old dogmas of "salvation by the blood of the lamb," the Trinity, and other beliefs, and come with perfectly open receptive minds to the TRUTH of EXISTENCE. No other salvation is possible! God cannot save you, since in ignorance of the facts of existence, mankind will continue to make the same earthbound mistakes till the end of time; thus creating their own sickness and misery. Furthermore, no matter what a man’s belief may be in regard to "salvation from sins," this is a human fallacy, since the Law of Cause and Effect is imponderable and an intrinsic, inherent, natural characteristic of existence. You cannot divorce effects from causation, nor can you erase causation and still have effects. In every level of Being, this is Truth.

This message needs to be taught in the Churches every Sunday for a year until both sexes understand the true measure of a man. Then, to follow up, Men's Bible Studies could offer the positive male bonding experience that a number of men never receive. Men your identity is not in skirt chasing or wife beating nor is it is working 24/7. You have feelings and emotions. Don't let anyone take them away from you. Big boys do cry.

Im in this position. I love the Lord and my heart is broken. Its even harder when the anorexic spouse is a servicemember when they are required to put the mission before all else. I hate sex. I am broken. I think God hates me and I've been a christian since I was 3. maybe I may be first in heaven. I take care of him and I pray the Lord will protect and care for me. I feel stupid for believing and looking forward to marriage. I just wanted one man to love me and treat me right. I feel pathetic and hopeless. My husband went through a battery program.

I appreciate your Christian world view on emotional abuse. I would like to add that regardless of how healthy a person is they can still be harmed by an emotionally abusive person and there is also sometimes spiritual powers of darkness involved. I especially found valuabe to hear Leslie Vernick say that real Christians can be emotionally immature and spiritually unhealthy because real Christians can cause real pain and destruction. PS God is love.

I think men and women both are made for love and intimacy. They way they seek it may be different. I disagree with the comment that women want love and men want sex or peace not so. God made us all for true emotional connection. You may try getting one for awhile without the other, but ultimately love without true intimacy is. Window Dressing. A good looking marriage on the Outside ONLY. If you try to just connect sexually without giving emotionally then sex becomes addictive and addictive sex is UNFULFILLING! Ask the Addict. God wired us for both. The answer for the Hurting Spouse is to Confront the Spouse. But the Book, Show the video, join a group, get counseling for you. If your spouse refuses to change: you have some choices to make... Don't stay. Don't enable this sick behavior, Don't lose your precious self. Don't commit adultery. Get out.

Emotional abuse is just as harmful as physical abuse, and not less harmful as mentioned at 17:04, as it is processed in just the same brain areas. The brain does not make any distinctions.

It is the truth that set us free. Truth is a Person, Jesus Christ. If we are living in denial, or self deception over truth, we are not free. This is basic, but powerful.

I wish I had seen this 10 years ago. Christian counseling, and pastoral advice - prayerful suffering, male headship, all that jazz, let my husband believe that his treatment of me and my daughter was ok. Last year I said I wanted a divorce and he begged me on his knees for me to stay. I am still in the marriage, but my heart is far from it - which isn't good either - he has made very small changes and I am not sure I have it in me to continue.

This just helped me realize that what I've been feeling for years is truly "something" that happens in marriage. I've been married for seven years and can't understand why we aren't connected. I need to get your book, and prey that it helps.

I'm disappointed that the hostess kept using the words "the husband" to talk about the abuser. Even if many husbands are abusive, I know of some couples where the wife is VERY abusive, and when you generalize this way it's painful for men who need help to seek it. (The men I'm thinking of either haven't sought help, or have, and were not believed and don't know what to do while they remain faithful in their very distorted and painful marriages.) This is a larger problem when the wife has a history of mentally and emotionally abusing their husband. These men often aren't believed. It's one thing to say it's usually husbands (true, ok) and another to say "the husband" instead of "the abusive spouse/abuser" for the rest of the show. That just makes your show too hard for the men that need help to watch. Please consider this in the future shows!

Another problem is that we have a mentally sick society, a power structure turned on its ear called the NWO - George Bush and Obama described it as such. One of the many problems with this sort of society is that it is causing gluttony, massive marital/interpersonal delusions, sacrifices of probably the better people spiritually, massive scape-goating, connivance and manipulation....nothing has changed for 3000 years.
