English is not my first language. What does this sentence mean? "i play gay"
This is so SWEET and I'm so so happy to see some good representation. I'm not crying I don't know what you're talking about
They’re both so pretty though ✨
I adore this film Ive been looking for more asexual representation, I’m not an emotional person but I cried while watching this
@@AshlynnRyanne We're SO glad to hear you enjoyed the film! It's my passion and goal as a writer to bring more authentic asexual representation to the screen, so I'm so glad to hear this was impactful for you. Thank you so much for your support!
Thank you!
Mom i think I'm broken again
Amazing, congrats! Is ACES still going to be made into a longer film?
Thank you so much! So the feature version of the film and the pilot a series are still being shopped around! I would love to do at least one of them next year as a personal production at a higher budget if we don’t get any leads from other producers this year, so I promise we are still working on it!
Amazing! Thank you for answering. I hope to see it one day
This is such an amazing short film I never see wlw asexuality represented and this is such a great short film it really represents it well I recently realised that I was ace and I told my best friend the other day and she was so supportive and turns out that she thinks that she is to
Thank you so much for this amazing comment! We are so happy to hear it impacted you positively. Thank you for sharing your story and showing your support! 💜
I love this short film so much! I've watched it multiple times now
Thank you so much! We’re so thrilled to hear that!
🎉🎉🎉🎉
i'm not crying, you're crying :L
Thank you for watching! <3
@@JayPayProductions Thank you for making! ^_^
Im not sure if its intentional, but the use of different ace cards here- in 3:36 , when there's the montage of them falling in love, the card is an ace of hearts, which is a symbol of "a new love, a new beginning, and the birth of newfound feelings". In 6:36 , the ace of clubs. In the ace community they represent questioning people on the ace/aro spectrum, which is exactly what phoebe is doing in that moment.
Yes! We love that you caught that! Thank you so much for watching and for your support!
as an ace lesbian this is such an amazing film to see. I've don't often relate to relationships I've seen on tv but when they were fighting and Phoebe said "would have known to what? not date me?" that is something I've felt and feared a lot. Should I tell girls I date I'm ace at first, or wait? I'm scared they wont want to give me a chance if they know I'm ace. Something I still struggle with. It was cool to see how I feel reflected in this! Great job!
Thank you so much for your kind words! We are so glad to hear that you could relate to the film, although I'm so sorry those fears go through your head. You are wonderful just the way you are!
I love this!
Thank you! We're so happy to hear you enjoyed the film, and thank you for your support!
one of the best queer short films i’ve seen so far!
We’re thrilled to hear that!! Thank you so much for watching and for your kind words!

I play ace 🖤🩶🤍💜
As do I, my friend! Thank you so much for watching and supporting the film! 💟
Well shoot I think I'm ace. Wonderful film, great acting. Really cute. Honestly didn't know being ace could really work like this, if that makes sense.
Thank you so much for watching! We’re so glad it was not only entertaining, but taught you something about asexuality. And if you feel you do identify as ace, welcome to the family! 💜🖤
I want to watch more asexual movies like this❤
You and me both, my friend! Here’s to hoping we’ll have more asexual representation in media sooner rather than later. 💜 Thank you for watching!

As someone who is asexual I am happy to finally some representation of an under represented community
We’re so happy you found the film! Thank you so much for your support!
👍👍👍
I watched this short film in 2022, and ever since then it's been in the back of my mind when I thought about my sexuality. Towards the end of 2023, I met someone and fell in love. I only felt romantically towards her and nothing more. I didn't allow myself to understand my sexuality completely until I came face to face with it. I've known that I'm a lesbian for many years now, but I never allowed myself to consider asexuality as a label due to many reasons such as societal pressures. My now ex and I almost did something, but I felt like something was holding me back. A week later she broke up with me. Now, as of 15 minutes ago I now know I'm ace. I'm grateful for this short film and its comfort it has provided me since watching it. I deserve to be loved for who I am and how I love without the sex part.
Thank you so much for sharing your story with us! I’m so glad this short film has helped you discover your identity, but so sorry to hear about your breakup. I hope you find someone who loves you just as you are someday, but until then, always remember that there is nothing wrong with you and you don’t need to change for anyone!
I think that it’s definitely one of the gayest things to be playing in the rain with worms.
It was very much a spur of the moment thing too! They were supposed to just be skateboarding, but then AJ (playing Phoebe) spotted the worm) snd it turned into that. Thanks for watching!
I used to watch this short film when i was a child. Guess who found out theyre asexual and came back to watch it again <3
We’re so thankful you enjoy the film! Thank you so much for your support!
Does anyone know which song is played in this video around the 6:15 minute mark?
Hi! The song you’re wondering about is Understood by Gabe Price!
Ok but am I the only one who’s confused I mean they look 12 and one of them can drive…?
Hey! Haha, they do both look young, but both our actresses were 16+ at the time of filming! And they’re playing 16-17 year old characters. Thank you for watching!
Most inspiring. Thank you. ❤
Thank you for watching!
the fact that she knew how to spell ace is somehow impressive to me
😂😂it’s definitely not a common word! Thanks for watching!
I found out I was asexual a couple months ago, I love who I am and I'm not gonna change for anyone! I've been suffering a lot this year with my Anxiety so it's been really hard. I came out to my best friend a month ago and were even more close before. I really wanna tell my other best friend. This film was so amazing that I can't explain with words 💜 We need more asexual representation!!!!! 🖤🤍🤍💜🏳🌈
I am so happy to hear you and your friend are closer! Thank you for watching and sharing your story -- we appreciate you!
2:26 "I play gay" sounded so ankward and it would absoloutely be me in that situation 😭😭 this was soooooooo cute tho
We're so glad you enjoyed! Thank you for watching!
There was an earthquake where I live that happened right after I watched this movie!
Was is it a love at first side an asexual asking
Hey! So since this was a short film, we couldn't really show their progress of falling in love. But in their world, it wasn't immediate, but they definitely felt a connection the first time they met! Hope you enjoued the film!
@@JayPayProductions i definitely enjoyed it and felt like it should happen to me too😅 but i am just 14 so.....

Wow, thank you so much for these kind words!! We’re so glad you enjoyed the film and are grateful for your support 💜
I almost cried. As an ace, I loved this. No idea where I am on the romance spectrum but I don't care. I still loved this
We’re so glad to hear that! Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts! 💜
🖤🤎♥❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💗💖💞💝💟❤🔥💓💕🫀❣

Thank you so much! We’re so glad you enjoyed the film!
Thank you ❤
Thank YOU for watching and for your support!
I don't know much English so I used the translator to write this. It is a good representation, a nice couple, they developed the conflicts very well and the discovery of Phoebe and the support Summer was so tender, they stole my heart with this short, it is so perfect.
Thank you so much! We are so glad you enjoyed the film, and we appreciate your support!
Beautiful… ❤️
Thank you! We're so glad you think so -- thank you for the support!
that smile is so cuteee
We're glad you think so! Thank you for watching!
I need to stop watching things that make me see how bad my last relationship was they knew from the start I was ace and they still set up a mental time line for when we'd do that and would guilt me when I didn't meet their expectations
I am so sorry to hear that you had this experience. It makes me so angry that there are people out there who don't respect the asexual identity, LIE that they do, and just try to "change" the person. I'm so sorry again -- please always remember that it is NOT your fault and you did nothing wrong. You communicated who you were and what your limits were, and they chose not to listen.
