The International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) is the governing body of the Shooting Sport, organizes an annual ISSF Rifle, Pistol & Shotgun World Cup Series as well as separate Shooting World Championships, and regulates 15 Olympic shooting events.

More attention should be made when writting info about the event. Number of shots is only for finals. Minimum weight is not for the pistol, it is for the trigger pull. I think people responsible for these videos should correct this information.
And what is suppose to be synchronized ? Not the two shots.
A match is 60 shots. Only in the final, if you get to the end, will you shoot 24 shots.
Have we change this event for the olympics ? I thought they were shooting 60 shots (and not 40 as in the video) and I thought the qualification wasn't with decimals (so they are not aiming for 10.9, even if this is what it is said in the video). Also, in the final, it is 2 series of 5 shots, and not three, in kneeling and prone positions.

1:41 indeed, this course of fire is shot as a women's Olympic event. Non-Olympic event version is for Junior men and women under 18 years of age. It's called Junior's Sports Pistol. As men's Non-Olympic event, it is shot with centerfire pistols .32 and .38 calbers, thus called the ISSF Centerfire Pistol match.

Kim Rhode went to high school only 2 miles from where I live. She still lives in El Monte CA. Hella nice person.
Since California’s ridiculous ammunition ban makes it illegal for anyone to bring in Ammunition into the state, it will be interesting to see how they bend the rules in order to have shooting sports in the LA Olympics. Maybe Kim will win her lawsuit with against the states power hungry Governor. 👍🏼

There wasn't a 25 rapid fire men competition as well as 25 pistol women in grenada so issf is making up for it in baku with two competitions
