Hi nice location, thinking of buying one also in WA. Do tow with yours, I have a Jayco pop up twin axle all up about 2,200kg. Do think it will handle it ok on long trips, no real serious off reading though like you guys! Cheers Johnny.

Absolutely. It's perfect for towing something like that. It doesn't really struggle too much with weight it's more wind drag. The boxy body shape doesn't help much either it tends to put the sweet spot between 90 and 95 I find in the s11. With the aid of the rear automatic locker I've towed 1.5 ton through soft sand quite easily. It has enough torque in low range to pull through the brakes.

No, you would need something with a bit more balls. Fuel economy would suck with over 2000kg on the back and they are a bit lightweight.

Mate, that was great. I have one in the box ready to be installed by me on a non-standard canopy. Seeing how it is attached was priceless. Seeing the hinge open, takes up another 150mm over the width taken-up when closed. That is important when installing an awning as well. Full thumbs-up!

These Scorpio utes are tough as hell. There's a agency in WA that transport raw materials owned by a lady named Megan. They have an inventory of 4 of these mahindra utes and their odo reads 650,000 and 540,000 and the other two. And they are still going strong.....these are built to last.

@@the_curry_cruiser yes I was referring to those, my bad. My family has owned Mahindra vehicles for generations and by gods grace we always a satisfactory experience. From tractors and agri equipments to early Mahindra Commander and Bolero ute being driven overloaded on places where there are still no roads day in day out to our XUV500 and now XUV700...things have been really great. I hope this does well here in Aus as the terrain and environment here is perfect to push this vehicle to its limits.

It's a hybrid battery meaning it can be used for cranking at high amps but also has low current draw for deep cycle use. It is also bulletproof and therefore excellent in rough conditions such as corrugations and extreme heat.

Hi Mate. I just brought this tent on special. I used some thin, soft rubber gym mats under the matrass provided. I also insolated the plastic shell with 10mm foil back soft foam. I have to say, for the money, it's a dam good tent. I really can't fault it and have slept very well in it. Time will tell how long it last I guess.

A mate of mine hit a stationary truck at 110 km/h and lived to tell the story. I think it's safe to say they are a safe vehicle. They just don't have all the electronic aids.

while l have been travelling l have notice the screws in the lock downs fall out so watch out for them . as l have it on my trailer it is heavy but at night l find that lm sleeping across the axle the nights l have slept in it the temp was minus 2 degrees and l was nice and warm in that tent and there was condensation on the inside like every tent has in the morning , it did rain over night and l did not get wet in side the tent , it took my queens size blow up Lilo with out any troubles . I hope any one that is going to get a kings camper X will enjoy it as much as l did

I have one of these and l did not pay that much for it l also have a blow up matres that auto inflates when power is fitted to it and it can stay in the tent when it is all packed up .I would like to say thank you for showing me the things l did not know about and the top had a fly screen that you can have closed at night and see the stars at night . Chris from Vic and l would like to say at this point about the staff are very caring about you in the shop in Dandinong the weight is 75 kg and lm so looking forward to staying in it most week ends

Yeah, I looked at one a few weeks ago. I was actually dumbfounded by the thickness of the mattress, and because it's their new model, you would think the quality of the mattress would be much better!!! The Kings Roof Top Tent Mattress, is much better in my opinion. Maybe buy a Mattress Topper, that might eliminate the problem. It is pretty expensive though, especially compared to the Kings Roof Top Tent. Going to go down next week and have another look!!!

I decided not to. Not because they're not a good price but they just don't suit my needs. I'm a fussy sleeper and I'm pretty lazy so I'd need a comfortable mattress but that means I'd have to pull it out to pack it away and also make the bed. I'll look for something a bit larger for my family.

@@the_curry_cruiser I got one. Was on sale for about $1520 with lights. Set it up in my backyard. Pretty easy set up and good size. The mattress is firm so I'll get some memory foam. Im planning a trip to the Cape so see how it goes up there! Cheers

Yeah I bought one a few months ago. Definitely a really good vehicle but it does have some pretty major flaws. The main one being the tiptronic gearbox not being able to hold gears when in manual mode. I tried climbing Callcup hill with a moderate load at 10 psi, 3rd gear low and it was shifting to 4th. No chance! Just lucky the mirrup river was shallow enough to cross and get out the other way.
