Nice video! I too finally managed to go to the flea market after such a long time earlier today. I was too exhausted to manage yesterday and then was so happy when I realized there was one today because of the holiday. Not as many sellers as usual but I found baywaych Teresa and in-line skating midge so not a bad day altogether 🙂

I need to do the same and sell some of the barbies that I don’t want anymore, to make room for others. One way to fix Hollywood hair Teresa’s bangs is to get them wet, cut a drinking straw and a two Bobby pins and use the straw as a roller on her bangs. Once you put it in dio in really hot water and let it stay like that for a few days.

My advice is be patient, you will eventually find them. When I first started I felt the same way but slowly have found them, dolls that I thought I would never get because they are rare but I found them for cheap and to be honest t feels better when you find them for cheap than when you get them from eBay

I’ve never seen Nichelle before, she’s wonderful. Kinda reminds me of the 1970s Ballerina Cara. Oh my gosh, I totally forgot I offered those dolls. So sorry! I wonder how much shipping is and how to look that up. I completely understand the overwhelmed feeling with your collection, storage, wishlist, etc. mine grew too big too fast and I've definitely struggled with what to do going forward. I like your system that you shared about buying and pausing. I should try that. I don't know the answer to the overwhelming feelings, wish I did, but I think taking a break from buying would be a start (speaking for myself).

Hellooooooooo I think we all have our struggles with Barbie collecting. I have a small area where I display mine. When I get new dolls and I add them to that area, I get aggravated because I think it looks too crowded! Then I get annoyed with myself that I purchased another doll!!!

Ugh, I can sympathize about the exhaustion. I also worked until 2am for a crazy deadline. And I was super stressed because I had another parallel deadline but prioritized this one. Then the next morning (after no sleep) I found out this was all for nothing and would be canceled. And now I’m late with the other deadline and totally exhausted and frustrated because I didn’t even get a good reason why all this was changed. Hope we can both get some rest this weekend! (Probably not haha but at least it's nice to have hope 😅)

With kanekalon hair, like Jewel Hair Mermaid Barbie, it can sometimes become more damaged if the water is too hot. So for that fiber, I use the hottest water I can get from the tap, but never boiling water. That way I just run her under very hot running water, condition, comb, then run it under the water again and it does the trick.

You need to get the dog comb or a very sparse comb. The one you are using is too fine and it gets caught more.

I always use metal pet brushes for doll hair, but I find that on super long kanekalon it's a disaster and became counter-productive and switched to a wide-tooth plastic comb.

I had the same fuzzy issue with totally hair Barbie when I found her in a thrift store. I washed and conditioned her hair first, combing the conditioner through each strand. Then I boiled washed her hair dipping it in and out in and out a few times. Her hair came out so silky and even with the boil wash it still held its crimped style. So there’s hope for your mermaid. 🧜🏻♀️
