In brief, is is an inquiry method? Or discussion method? Or Question- answer method? Or lecture demonstration method?

I am a teacher, and I do not find this technique practical to increase social skills and interpersonal communication. Think-pair-share strategy, with a buddy, feels and bodes better with my students. It accomplishes the same goal with little anxiety. More than one way to accomplish a mission. 🫶

The word didactic means to teach with a moral intent. Kind of 19th century stuff. Are used to work with a woman who was obsessed with the word. She was very patronizing and would have been perfect playing. A ladies made in an episode of Downton Abbey.

This method is bad in my opinion. It does help with social skills and just ends up giving tons of anxiety especially today students just laugh when watching from the outer circle it’s impossible to focus and have a good conversation and it feels so unnatural to me.

Thanks for your video. We use the fishbowl method within our organization to allow participation of every member of the company about topics of general interest. This is why we developed an online tool to organize fishbowls online during the pandemic. :-D

Of course the vdo that teaches us a better way to think would get the trolls and hate. It's ok for the rest of us though bc evolution will wipe them and their nonsense right out of existence for us. We race to the top not the bottom. #HelpHumanityProgressForward

Wow! and just Wow! I am on here looking for an answer to a professor who has our classroom attempting to fill out a 5E lesson plan to pretend teacher ing and actual digital lesson plan (All this is a year prior to being applying to even get into the credential program mind you and with no foundation of knowledge ever writing a lesson plan) and the texts he has given on important subjects such as UDL, CSP and SJE are great but the information 15 years old on the five E's is confusing and on top of it he keeps changing the words to even understand it? The entire class except one group is lost now for 1 month and he has never given us one bit of info on figuring out the 5E's he only states no and you do not have it? So I watched you video and I now have a belief that Socrates style is not actually being used and is a hijack and a rip-off to give common core validity because of your statement about silencing the verbal students who may be asking questions to allow for others to do so? As well as the lacking foundation to present questions on a brand new subject would all depend if the information is there and if the teacher starts saying there is a right answer by stating no or yes then he has been given the power to harm because of this method not being clearly defined with no way to resolve abuse (the irony?)? To have an approach that assumes students will change their beliefs is in itself assuming all students are inherently coming from a flawed background? Lastly, it is taking a famous philosopher who asked questions to the status quo but now the status quo is using his method to stop questions that ask about their version of the Socratic Method? Wow!

I'm a teacher too and I'm recommending your description of this to a new teacher. You're explanations are very clear. Of course there is room to improve and smooth out your format to be like mainstream youtubers, which is why I'm leaving this comment. Go for it man; you got what you need to build a great audience, but it needs to be more aligned with the other mainstream content formats. Our niche is not very crowded right now, so you have so much room to fly in your content category. Thanks for your hard work! much appreciated, it's so helpful to so many people who may not give you good feedback ;)

KZread needs this! I can’t believe how many people in the comments think an argument equals a fight. I love and welcome a rational debate! That’s engaging with others about shared interests and the free exchange of ideas, not hostility.

Rebutting is pronounced “re-butt-ing,” not “re- byoot-ing.” Not trying to be nitpicky. Mispronouncing words often just means people read a lot.

Hey look everyone, this SALESMAN is using lots of buzz words. Surely teaching is so easy you can tell the student what they are Supposed to learn and they'll magically absorb it. This is pure common core crap that does NOT work in real life!
