I totally understand what you are saying. Attitude will help a lot and trying to get jobs that aren't company or client facing should help you be considered. Production or Warehouse jobs may be a solid option to consider because they aren't client facing.

Oh, it really happened. I'm guessing they didn't want the job as well. Maybe interviewed just to keep their unemployment benefits? Not exactly sure. But it was a strange one.
Do you hire outside of the U.S?
Yes, we have hired team members outside the US. And we do recruit for companies outside of the US as well.
Like what kind of questions?
Thanks for asking. Some great questions you can ask are: What does the training look like for this role? or What is the team like that I will be working with? or Is this a new position, or is it a refill for someone who left the company? or Tell me about the benefits you offer your employees. You should always remember that you are interviewing the company just as much as they are interviewing you. You need to decide if they are a company you want to represent.
