    How bad would Wuk Evu let the crops get before he mentioned they might wanna do their festival thing? And how does an entire tribe of people forget the significance of their own ritual? Especially one for ya know...FOOD

  • @PaulaVieira
    @PaulaVieira6 сағат бұрын

    so in brazil, there are festivals you can throw in either june, july or august, called simply "Festa Junina/Julina/Agostina". They're comprised of old corny dances, and the traditional outfit is plaid shirts and pants with colorful patches for men, plaid dresses with frilled aprons for women, and straw hats for both. Festival food is usually peanut- or corn-based. There are silly fair games and stuff. What is it a festival OF? Well, common wisdom states that these festivals commemorate catholic saints-- Saint Anthony, Saint John and Saint Peter. It wasn't until a recent wikiwalk that I figured out these were actually midsummer festivals brought by portuguese colonizers. How would I ever figure THAT out, when _those are winter months in Brazil?_ The origins of traditions are very, very easily lost with the passage of time. When the spectacle of the festival becomes an end in itself, its meaning and purpose become lost. The harvest festival became a festival to *commemorate* the harvest, not to *create* the harvest. And Wuk Evu, as an outsider strongly concerned with manners, wouldn't be at ease enforcing his authority over a custom that didn't even belong to his own people. Not to mention how he lived at a fair distance from the Hanu city-- how aware was he of the hardships?

    I feel removing all friction from jobs leads to healer DPS rotations (1111...). Friction is what lets you have feelings of success, and enables skill expression. That said, I play both summoner, and also like melee summoner (viper). So, I guess, duality of man 😂

    Regarding DRK: the job sits pretty comfy with its damage and survivability in raids. Its dungeon sustain "issue" is realistically more about player skill than the job's.

  • @TallZeratul

    i think you could just give the 3 delirium hits a bloodwhetting effect and drk would be golden in dungeons

  • @joshuayung5158
    @joshuayung515819 сағат бұрын

    Yeah, dark Knight doesn't have self heals but it gets 4-5 defensives on an average pull and 2-3 TBNs. The way I split em: Shadow wall, reprisal, 1-2 oblations, 2-3 TBN Rampart, reprisal, arms length, 1-2 oblations, 2-3 TBN That's a lot of defensive uptime.

  • @TallZeratul
    @TallZeratul18 сағат бұрын

    @@joshuayung5158 I'm assuming you split this as wall/rep/oblation/tbn for the first wall to wall and the rest for the second? This is also the way I run my tanks, but on a warrior I have thrill of battle, equilibrium, and even shake. As a paladin I have persistent blocking (20%) with regen and a long combo that heals every hit. As a gunbreaker I have regen and camo, extremely high mit and a powerful excog heal. There is no cooldown on holy shelltron and it only takes about 22 seconds to get gauge for it, I can also easily fit 2 bloodwhettings / hearts into a pull. As a DRK can top off pretty well once per pull with drain, but its overall sustain is completely mediocre compared to the other tanks. You say you have a lot of cooldowns to use but it's actually less than the other tanks. If your healer dies on a dungeon boss you can barely sustain yourself through the whittling away of your own hp, let alone keep another person up. Scream TBN all you want but on my other tanks I'm keeping myself healthy AND I can top off other group members.

    To be fair at least the normal can surprise them a bit. Doing Normal after progging/farming EX/Savage can give some people problems. It's obviously not hard but expect dumb simple mistakes.

  • @herebejamz
    @herebejamz2 күн бұрын

    With everything going on before then, it's highly likely they'll be able to go in basically blind if they wanted to. Especially since a lot of the mechanics in this raid aren't big glowing indicators and usually overlap with other mechanics simultaneously.

  • @hazavair5755
    @hazavair57552 күн бұрын

    They'll take forever to get there. The expansion's been out for a month and they have yet to do the first of the introductory questlines at lv90. They may also just not have interest in the challenge of Savage. If you've caught any of their Extreme streams, they have to solve the mechanics blind but they have six other overgeared and experienced raiders doing most of the hard numbers. Also further, since weekly lockout is a thing they may have problems getting some of the more hardcore people to come along, meaning that the other raiders will be much less of a help. I can definitely see them burning out in a frustrating way if they try it without some serious behind the scenes training and research.
