I love the outdoors and more specifically fishing! If I could fish 365 days a year I would! I'm currently studying at Michigan State University, majoring in civil engineering. I fish all over the Midwest and enjoy catching a variety of species. But if I had to choose my favorite species to target, I think it would be walleyes.

I'm just the opposite I have way more spots on the east end. lol The mouth of Slate Bay rarely disappoints for walleye -especially if you have livescope. Looking forward to the series!
Nice haul.
🎣🐟👍

What type of crankbait do you use?
The sneez of the motor is carbon build up on the heads clean the heads an it will run like new new 😂😂 great set up
Great seeing someone else who loves this boat! I’ve had my ‘87 680t since 1989. Done a lot of modifications over the years and I’ve never seen another boat that I’d even consider. Thanks for sharing the love!
Super nice boat you done a great with the up grades 👍
I have an 88 model 18 ft. Ranger Fisherman V hull. Pushed by a factory matched Merc 115 Tower of power. I've had it for 25 years and someone slides up and wants to buy it every year. Its an awesome fishing vessel.
What's the speakers for?
Just saw you and the structurefushing boat come through my town of Virginia, MN. Where ya boys heading for the weekend?
Red lake Ontario!
@@StructureFishing good luck and safe travels
Kudos to the previous owner and the love he showed for this beautiful rig. At 37 year old and a new engine this boat will around for another 37. I had a couple of them and looked for the last 12 years for another one and finally gave up for a good one like yours. Congrats!
Looks great! Thats a beauty. Get some alumium mags on that trailer that would really set it of
Nice👍
Love it
What a great boat! So much room! At first I thought I didn't care for the portable fuel tanks, but they really aren't in the way. A four stroke would be nice, though....much quieter and better on fuel. Congrats and thanks for sharing. Fish on!
Always wanted one of those boats
That's a classic for sure.
Very nice😊
Nice boat Casey, thanks for the tour! Man, cant believe the storage! I love my 100 amp hr lithium for the troller as I am sure you do! Enjoy and good luck!
50:1 gas mix is kinda questionable🤨
Not supposed to target lakers in red
Congratulations - I just bought a 1987 680t - but it;s not in the condition yours is in, The bones are good but the carpet is trash - the trailer is getting some rust spots - and the gelcoat will need a few touch ups,. but a little love and it will be fishing again. i see your using your livescope off the side. I was thinking of that but had not seen anyone else off the side. How is it working for you there. Maybe a video about it, Keep up the good work. Thanks from an old guy.
Love this! My dad had an 87 Ranger back in the early 90s. I loved this boat. At the time we lived in Grand Forks, ND. We fished Devils Lake, Leach Lake, Bemidji areas often. I recall that boat going to LOTW and Lac Seul a few times too. He had a 115 yamaha. Traded the Ranger for a Stratus after some yrs. Many great memories to come in that boat. Enjoy!
Nice boat 🚢 👌 👍
I have the same boat. It is considered one of the finest backtrolling boats ever built. Babe Winkelman was involved on the design. It is rare to see one with the original upholstery on the tempest seats. The original composite seat mounts were a problem. If the mount is metal it is the updated design. If you search babe winkelman 1987 spring he is fishing a 680t.
Al Lindner was also involved in the design. They would run wave wackers. I still have the original 45 Mariner 4 cylinder. No power trim but it has lift assist cylinders. Great boats. Keep it dry in the off season. My boat’s performance was greatly improved with a dolphin hydrofoil. The holeshot was improved and the boat felt more stable. That is also the original carpet.
I love it.
Keep an eye on the welds on the trailer.
👍
Very nice walleyes keep up the good fishing 🎣
You have an instagram?
Yes! It’s “therealfishcraft”
How deep you fishing
Thanks for sharing , that catfish was a monster .
Thank you for sharing , educational for me. Currently learning this lake. Just moved to the area. 3 times out, ive caught 1 catfish near north Marina.
Where can I fish from shore right now
Any good musky recipes?
You know these fish have PFAS contamination and have a consumption advisory? It's a free country but most let anything over 22 go to help sustain a population that's in decline.
🐟🐟🎣🎣👍🏻👍🏻
Was really surprised the bandits still work
I absolutely loved your video. What a great job.
I was was fishing there for my first time ever on memorial Day weekend. My wife caught a 14 lb carp on a nightcrawler! I mainly caught a bunch of white bass
Where did you put in at? We are going at the first of August. We put in at The Narrows.
👍
Been watching you and your father for years and it's been fun watching you grow as a fisherman! Well done Casey! ..Mark, the guy who yelled out love your channel years ago on the WI river, Nekoosa!
Yes I remember you! Thank you for watching!!
That hook to the finger looked painful, but the huge walleye made up for it!
I love watching your video's. Your are a great fisherman
