Those passengers on that flight are heroes EVERYONE! The first to die in a fight against the terrorists of 9/11! I do not think they have been properly recognized as WAR HEROES. They should be. IT was a war on that plane. Secondly, my parents were at Fred Meyers in Gresham Oregon when the check clerk that was helping them, received an urgent call from his brother on his cell phone. HIS brother was on that flight!! It was voice message--telling his brother goodbye, they had been hijacked, knew about New York, and were going to stop the hijakers from taking out anymore people--he thought they were headed for the White House or Capital. HE just froze--then started crying. AT that time my parents and people at the store all knew about what had happened on the East Coast--but know one new about Flight 93 yet in Pennsylvania. My parents quickly got the attention of the supervisor on duty and communicated to him what was happening. Other clerks who were not busy, came to console him, and then to aid my folks at the check out. This was a person my parents knew very well and liked always sought out to help them. They felt so sad for him, losing his brother. Now we feel proud that his brother helped to stop the terrorists from their mission. His brother gave his life so that others could live, as all those passengers and crew did. Just like our military soldiers who are trained to go to war to defend the US Constitution, these civilians, took a stand--banded together to do the right thing--the heroic thing--to save others. God bless them and their families. Thanks for this video, as it confirms what I suspected about this flight. That they did take back the plane, they just needed a bit more time to gain control of the aircraft. They did their best. Nicely done, and I hope the families are healing. May 31 2024--I still remember every year!

War is hell and those who send u for things like lining their pockets are wrong and if u want to do so , u should be out there on the front lines fighting harder than the ones who signed up for country and don’t get their pockets lined ! Still no respect for bush jr sending all these men after 9/11 and even though his father got him into an elite Air Force company he quit . Dam and this the leader u choose? He quits says weapons of mass destruction , find none and then when his tenure is over he makes jokes like none here and even chuckles , that really burned me up knowing brave men and women went there and never quit while they followed a leaders orders who himself wouldn’t even continue training without a war ! And it should have been no surprise that he didn’t care !even dam near threw the country into a recession and depression

Watching these Vietnam and other war documentaries you would think there were only white men fighting in these conflicts. If you're gonna tell it, tell the whole story. Blacks made up a large part of the troops fighting in the jungles of South East Asia also. Oh yeah...and don't forget about the American Indians too. They contributed mightily as well. Smdh

As an Indian I've got nothing to do with 9/11 But as a human i am proud of each and every being in the plain who made humanity prevail over demons. But the sacrifice of 9/11 wont go in vain as we all know about the threats posed by islamic terror to the world.

Even the greatest soldiers in the world can be overwhelmed by sheer number of armed personnel and firepower. In WW1 the best soldiers in the world were the British Expeditionary Force. Their small BEF kept the huge German Army from encircling the Allied Forces using only their rifles and precise shooting. Over time, however, they were wiped out and had to be replaced by a volunteer army and then a conscripted army.

At the time it seemed a bit like a humiliation. In retrospect, after the happenings of the years since, "Black Hawk Down" is synonymous with one of the greatest military stands in United States history.

Our military leadership so screwed the pooch in this operation. The decision to not provide armor or tanks led to so many deaths. Ask any Soldier regardless of what branch of the service they're in what the value of a tank is on the battlefield and you'll get your answer right there. Got to give respect to the Pakistanis who were right there with us even though what armor they had was obsolete. The Malaysians also were invaluable and we owe both of them a huge debt of gratitude. This was a klusterfuk just waiting to happen and we should have known it. Regardless of all of that the Rangers, the Pakistanis, and the Malaysians performed marvelously. Rest in peace to all those soldiers who did die in vain.🙏🇺🇲⚓️💯💖

I was a combat corpsman (medic) in the mountains around Khe Sahn and I can tell you, the war was a waist. 58000 men and women died for nothing. And when we got home we were treated like shit.

The correct strategy for Vietnam shouldve been train thousands of LRRPs for the south to deal with the VC...then a traditional invasion of the north with infantry, air, sea, etc and the war would've been over in 2-3 years. The US strategy over the ten years was pathetic and resulted in tens of thousands of unnecessary deaths

You could say the same thing about Joe stalin he murdered tens of millions of his own people with the SS equivalent the NKVD plus he murdered thousands of his own officers in the great purge 1937/39 and any units that retreated in the war against Germany were machine gunned down Stalin may not have used gas but his murders put hitler in the shade

I remember this fiasco. I was living in Fayetteville, NC. SF DELTA and Green Berets that I knew went over to Samalia and into Mogadishu to feed the starving population. All hell broke loose and over 100 US Soldiers were killed and injured in the incident. I remember when the Soldiers returned home, it was not good, a lot of anger from these men. It haunts them to this day, RAGE
