  I think that alot of Mass Bands are starting to encorporate more learning and educational experiences and aspects into their practices and such especially in the early practices before the school year is completely over (Although I know alot of High Schoolers are still in concert or graduation season during that time as well). I also believe that since we're seeing more of a blend between music and writing between summer and fall programs, some Mass and All Star programs challenge student's stamina, reading levels, and such just as much as a Band summer camp for wayyy less fees. You are missing out on marching, but you're gaining in how much you're being pushed to a certain level as a bandsmen I believe.

  This was great 👍🏾 the rankings and the categories the chart. Someone on another channel was asking what are these KZreadrs judging when they are reviewing these battles 🤔 so this is the only channel that ive seen that actually breaks it down. Awesome job. 👍🏾

  I didn't hear most of the bands after 6. But, GA was the best sounding to me this summer. I enjoyed their arrangements and how the band performed the arrangements. Impressive, especially some of the selections arranged/played.

  2014 Southern had me hooked as a fan, and I marched in the Boom that year 😂. Now, in all seriousness, 2014 was way more balanced, and every section held their own. 2023 trumpets weren't strong at all especially compared to 2014, the mellos were a lot better as well, and the tubas lost their signature sound once they trasitioned to all brass tubas. Of course they're "louder" these days but the style they once had has been sacrificed for volume.

  And this is why MAAB couldn’t come to the adult table with us(GAMB) and NOASB. Playing over other bands who worked just as hard if not harder just to be loud and nasty. SMH. Poor bandsmanship!

  Dallas and regulators tied idk if u noticed at 25:12 he gave regulators 2 points as well when he said Dallas got 4 points…maybe it was a mistake or maybe he just don’t like Dallas but yea…I definitely caught that

  Good review at the end, being from Dallas good to see kids doing something productive but Dallas can’t compete with theses other states. Wish Memphis was there to go against Mississippi!

  It's clear this dude is bias toward Memphis. Even when he criticized them, it was still a four or five. But New Orleans was a 3 every time.
