  You can just make it with flour and water, boil it and you get a sticky paste. I’d go for 1/4cup flour and 1 cup water.

  How do you remove the fabric? Also, did you buy one large piece of fabric for the large walk? My wall is huge. Do you kind of fabric is best for the fabric wall?

  So you paint or stain the piece first.. then put vaseline and then paint?? I have two wood blocks I want to do this with to make signs. I love how your piece turn out.. looks great!

  Thank you for this super organized video- the wall looks very elegant. It’s amazing how uncomplicated the process seems.   I like to use a link free cloth to apply wax to my chalk paint pieces. It always worked better for me.

  For yearly maintenance, would I just wax over it again lightly with a clear wax then buff it out? Would it smear a darker wax beneath it?

  i love the look of a real book cover but it seems that this will only work if you're holding it in your hands, ie as you might for reading - but you can't prop it up for watching videos etc.

  I’m no expert by no means, but the wax protects the paint and gives it a shine. Depends on how much your piece will be used, you may want to use Polycrylic instead. It’s just harder to apply in my opinion.

  I dunno if this will down but maybe a hair dryer to soften the wax and then paper towels or cloth to absorbe it? Hope this helps let me know :)

  I just applied clear wax to my piece that I chalk painted and I dont see much of a difference at all. Im wondering if I put enough.....

  @@heatherlayne2536 I did it and my wax turned YELLOW on a blue piece. I had to sand it off and start over.
