The Great Harvest

The Great Harvest

We are an end-time movement that helps ordinary disciples prepare their communities for the Lord's return.

Our vision is to see living stones living for Christ, who makes up the church. For too long, we have emphasized strategies, numerical values, and traditions that are nowhere to be found in the Word and a Church that is weak and looking for a quick escape route out of this earth. God made the earth and told us to have dominion; He wants the righteous to inherit the earth. The problem is that the authority from the righteous has shifted to the ruler of darkness, our enemy. Very soon, Christ will return to defeat Satan and put the rulership back into the hands of the righteous, with Christ reigning as King. Until this time of restoration of all things, we want to prepare communities for His return.

We want to see communities and churches who live for Christ, waiting on His return, being steadfast, and glorifying Him on earth through their works.

    yep, poor little cultists who think that their god cares about how people dress, and want to force them to obey their baseless nonsense. It's hilarious how it's always some sad little fellows who have to whine about how women dress. It's great how they think their stupidity and lack of control is reason for women to obey their lies. It isn't and they aren't men.

    This is the verse that should have caught your eye when considering the true church leadership: "But whoever is with a wife is worried about the things of the world, as to how he may please his wife. And so, he is divided. 1 Corinthians 7:33 Now, ask your self, where are those celibates in your church? Even Jesus recommended celibacy Matthew 19:12, Jesus says, "For there are eunuchs who were born that way, and there are eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by others-and there are those who choose to live like eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. The one who can accept this should accept it." Eunuchs are those that cannot have intercourse. So, you have to consider and pray. Where are your celibates???

    I know many disciples who are not married and instead are fully devoted to God. The problem is we can’t isolate texts and make a whole doctrine out of it. In the beginning God said that a woman has been given to us as helpers. A man should not be alone but be joined to another women and become ONE 🙏

    And that’s written where? Eph 4 says they will exist till we all come to the unity of the faith which has not happened yet. We are only going to be perfect when Christ returns and receive our new resurrected bodies. In the context of the 12 apostles, those would not exist anymore as you need to be a witness of the resurrection and have seen Christ in the flesh. But that doesn’t remove the gift of the apostle which is someone who is called to lay foundations where there are none, plant churches etc.

    Thanks for doing this video!! Just recently I was also very convicted to lift my hands to God, because I grew up where we didn't do that, and that created a fear because I never did. But I also started seeing it in God's word and realized this isn't a matter of denomination, it's just God's word! There's been a freedom and joy that's come with lifting my hands to God in worship in obedience to His word!

    how can there be no wisdom or purpose to be found outside of christ? what kind of god is so jealous that they would punish you for finding out truths outside of their own direct teachings? are there not plenty of biblical stories, like the good samaritan for example, where truth was found without the aid of god?

    My only concern about letting anyone baptize is... Who ever is preforming the act should be a proven Spirit Filled disciple. Here's why. If they are not Spirit filled or somewhere in the born again process or not really at all then they are not connected to the body themselves how can they assist in the one being baptized in theyre appeal to Jesus Christ? also am unsure about women baptizing men. Seeing how it is the faith action whereby an appeal to that authority of Jesus is made. And we know that Women are not permitted to have authority over men. So no I don't believe anyone can baptize.

  • @thegreatharvestofficial
    @thegreatharvestofficial3 ай бұрын

    Yes, of course there are exceptions. I made a general statement, about what the Word says who can baptize. To every doctrine there are nuances like some of the ones you mentioned which can be discussed but it is beside the point. The video is in regard to the division between laity and clergy. The belief that only “ordained” pastors or elders are allowed to baptize is not to be found in the Word of God - that’s what I’m advocating against. Hope that makes sense brother! :)

    Your reflection is correct. We must increasingly look at how the first church acted, as it was the apostles themselves who gave the right teachings and the right procedure. Then the Holy Spirit added what was still missing, as in Acts 10. For baptism the book of Acts shows that as people received the gospel, repented of their sins, and believed in the work of Christ, they could be baptized in water for be freed from the slavery of sin and receive the Holy Spirit. Then they persevered in the teaching of the apostles... I believe this is the right way to proceed

    100 % agree with the power of baptism and it's nessesity. However, in today's evangelical churches, baptism is not thoroughly taught and people are baptised just because it is an expectation of being a part of the church. I would think that a single class session explaining baptism should be sufficient.

This has also been something I have had thoughts about exactly how you describe this freedom. I remember I had such a desire for the transformation to a new being. But I also remember how on fire after baptism and boy did I tick a lot of people off by being to straight forward and to blunt but at the time I just wanted everyone to experience that I had received. I think like you said the idea came from good intentions but I could have really used a lot more mentorship after I was baptized

Not sure if this relates with where you’re headed, but it would be cool if you did a video about how, if God commands us to do so many things in the scriptures, He must REALLY be willing to give us the power to live it out!!! A lot of times, the commands of Jesus are seen as dry, religious rules, because we think God expects us to do it by ourselves. Everything changes and becomes life giving when we understand that God wants to fill us with the power to live out His commands! 😄

    Hey guys. Just came across this and have been checking out your website and some other videos. Frankly I am skeptical of any movements that deter people from the traditional church, and for good reason if you look at history a lot of sects and cults have started that way, and I am not saying that's what you guys are doing. I do see issues with the traditional church in N. America and find it hard to find churches without doctrinal or worldly compromise. So just trying to exercise some biblical discernment and geta feel for what you guys are about. You're website training events seem similar to another organization called the The Last Reformation, where the focus is training on gospel, healing the sick and casting out demons. Any affiliation at all? Do you believe that born again Christians need deliverance from demons? Also, what teachers in the Body of Christ have most influenced you and would you recommend to others? Do you believe a Christian can be saved without water baptism? And lastly, do you believe baptism is only in the name of Jesus or can it also be in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit?

  • @thegreatharvestofficial
    @thegreatharvestofficial5 ай бұрын

    Greetings brother. Patrick here. You have every right to be skeptical! Especially as we draw closer to the end of this age we should be discerning everything. I believe it would help me if you understand a bit about my background as well... I came out of a Pentecostal cult-like denomination where if you don't speak in tongues, you're not saved. You also weren't allowed to leave the church in peace. I now pastor a local church and we meet in a "traditional" church building but the way we meet together is not like the traditional church meets. The whole body gets opportunities to use their gifts and be involved every time we get together. There is some affiliation with TLR; but not as involved as we used to be. I still like what they are doing, especially with the emphasis changing to training up leadership to lead local churches rather than equipping individual disciples to do what they want. This was my biggest concern with TLR. I believe in training the saints to preach the gospel and pray for the sick but it should never be the focus. You will find me in the middle on that issue. It's important, but knowing our Lord and walking in love by His Spirit is much more important, and I'd rather have saints walk in love than miracles. But I don't dismiss the gifts as they were given for the edification of the body and to preach the gospel. The focus just has to be right. It depends on what you mean by born-again Christians. I don't think I'll just receive a demon by committing a sin or backsliding, but on the flip side, I think it's possible depending on the situation. I can't deny believers who came to me dealing with suicide, habitual sins or depression and being set free by deliverance. Were they born-again? Idk, but I rejoice that they are free now. On the flipside, many came to me thinking they have demons but they didn't and needed to renew their mind and believe the truth. It's great to have these theological discussions, but for me, it's more important when ministering to someone to fill their need. Why are they struggling, and what truth do they need to be set free? Unfortunately, many have taken the deliverance ministry too far, and it's very concerning. I mostly learn from teachers who have already passed on, as I can see how they ran the race. Some of those include David Pawson, Derek Prince, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, A.W. Tozer, Andrew Murray. Other teachers that are still with us are Frank Viola, John Bevere, Reinhard Hirtler, Dan Mohler. Most of these guys focus on one central topic, so it really depends on what I'm looking for. For example, Dan is focused on identity and shining your light. And of course, there are things I disagree with on some doctrines with all of these guys but there are still things to learn from everyone. Most of my learnings do just come from the pure Word and the Spirit ministering to me through it. I believe if we can't learn from Him first, we have no business trying to learn from teachers. Some of my thoughts on that can be found here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/d3-qxrShgdy9Z9Y.html In terms of recommendations, I rarely recommend other teachers, especially not publicly. When I do, it's to people I know because I believe we should learn from teachers around us in person and minimize the number of voices in our lives, but most recommended are the ones on my list that passed on to be with the Lord. Can a Christian be saved without water? Depends on what you mean by saved. I believe Israel was given to us as an example on our salvation journey. Israel was saved by the blood and death passed by them. Then, they were saved by the water to put an end to their old life. Then, they had to endure to the end and renew their mind. The promised land is the kingdom to come. I believe when someone repents and puts their faith in the Lord, they are crucified with Christ on the cross; this dead body is then buried in the water and raised to new life. I don't consider salvation a singular event; it's a journey. Repentance, faith, baptisms (water and Spirit) all play into this journey. Just because someone is baptized, it doesn't mean they will go to heaven. Those who endure to the end will be saved. The good news is, for those who continue to trust Christ and obey Him, the Good Shepherd Himself will continue to hold them up, ensure they are secure in His hands, and keep them from stumbling by the power of His Spirit. I personally don't believe in baptism methods. Someone can baptize in the trinity or in the name of Jesus. When the scriptures say that men were baptized in the name of Jesus I believe it's saying they were baptized into the person of Jesus Christ. Meaning the person being baptized, knows they are becoming one with Christ, and are baptized to this very person in which salvation is found. It's about the actual person of Christ, not just a formula that comes out of your mouth. It's about the person knowing what is happening in the water and their heart being in the right place. Debating over formulas is an unnecessary debate because God is not just after our knowledge but after the heart - He honours a pure heart. You can see Ever explain it here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/h6mI25urpMabecY.htmlsi=4fzgWJuop5KsyylH All the best brother and thank you for the great questions! I understand we will probably disagree on some things, but may we continue to love one another as the Lord loved us.

    Not sure where the terror is. I have a loving Father who cares for me in heaven. He provides for me and allows me to live in peace. In a world with many fatherless children, it is something everyone should have. I thank God for beautiful women. My wife is beautiful. God made them beautiful. The issue is not beauty. The issue is men being drawn away by their own lust - leading to unhealthy marriages, abandoned kids etc. Jesus Christ gave us a way of escape to have flourishing marriages that impact generations to come. If I see a woman not valuing her body, and making something public that should be kept private, of course, I will pray for her. Good things should be hard to get and find. Like pearls that are hidden deep in the ocean. Yes, it is her choice, but it's also my choice to pray :) Blessings.
