I play Codex Space Marines right now. I only have control over how much I lose by. It's super fun. One day I went from consistent wins and good placements, the next I was lucky if I didn't finish in the bottom 10. I guess I lost the ability to play the game in my sleep...

We play competitively but it’s a cooperative game. Play the game together. Makes the experience 10x better

Good job on the placing, and I really like the list. I'd run something similar but I don't have enough Eradicators and I'm not in a position to buy more models at the moment. Plus I'd need to paint a bunch of stuff quickly. So for a local RTT in about a week and a half I'll be running Imperial Knights instead.

I used the assassin all the time to frustrate enemy strats. One opponent found her so annoying he moved a unit up to her and grinned as he declared "grenade", to which I pointed out that would cost 2cp, and he had 1 :)
I know you really liked the Chaplains but just some brainstorm thoughts: Perhaps drop one for another Jump Pack squad? I don't think you'd want to drop both, but you potentially could and then use the pts towards say ICCs, or JPI + Scouts, Lone Op lieut etc. I also have included an ancient as one of my terminator leaders, to try and prevent getting out-OCd on primary. Did you find that to be an issue? I might just need to position & screen better.
I didn't find much of an issue with being out OCed ... Mostly because if I was on the same objective as an enemy unit then we were fighting and usually killing them ... I like the one unit of ICCs works well, but I don't think I wanna invest in more. Too glass cannon for more ... And I feel like 2 JPIs did well to get me my secondaries while I have had no real luck with scouts
@@TheGlacialGeek I was mainly struggling v. Sisters, Guard etc that threw cheap chaff to out OC. Perhaps it is just operator error! I do like the list & Chaplains are very cool especially to not have to rely on the watchers or lance strat for the whole game.
Is it 3 Deathwing Knights or 3 squads of them?
3 squads of them ... Can't take them as anything but 5-man squads

Do you use the lascannons on the Repulsor? Like is it an anti tank role
I did! That paired well with the Eradicators for finishing off particularly high wound targets or when I fluff their rolls.
ICC with a Judiciar l?! I'm annoyed I didn't think of it because that's genius! Completely with you on the DWK with maces and a Chaplain, had a game with them they rolled two and three quater greater demons. Hadn't though of using them to hold objectives but makes a lot of sense! Personally I take Predator Annihilators for anti tank duties, just think they're hard to argue against on a points basis. Have you thought of drop podding your ICC btw? I'm thinking that's one way to cause havoc when needed. Oh and very well done!

Yes! I kind of make that whole group into tank hunters ... The number of times the Eradicators fluff their rolls and leave a target with a few wounds left always makes me want those extra few lascannon shots!
Congrats on the win - the list looks very flexible. It is always good to come away with a happy feeling - that , sweet sweet icing is pretty good too :)

If we are honest about this, they fixed some weapon profiles and literally made no other impact… comp lists are all still running gladius… so what we are doing is playing ultra marines better than they do cause we have Azreal and Deathwing Knights… to fix it properly the in er corcle detachment should just be a +1 to wound when fighting on objectives… simple easy better, god knows how you make that green wing stuff work its frankly horrible and raven wing have been decimated into the naff bin with bs overpriced points costs and the removal of units which hurts alot… also can we talk about the land speeder vengeance… wtf were they thinking when they nerfed this thing… were they running wild at any point ever? Literal junk rules writing… i still miss dmg 3 maces… i liked them alot but i get it…stuff good can’t have…

Yeah, but not things like Imperial/Chaos Knights which seem to see a lot of play ... It feels like having that Anti 4+ leaves me better able to take on all lists! 😀

I bet my frilly pants right now! Every single DA specific unit goes up by at least 30 points in the next balance update. Just because of the couple wins DA got in the last weeks.
This is why I quit the hobby, every single viable space marine unit goes up every edition unnecessarily. Put it this way, a redeemer will never be 280 points on my table because that's ridiculous. And deathing knights will never be 235 again either. Flip flopping gw doesn't know their elbow from their.....
I disagree ... Dark Angels are sitting right around 50% win rate which is what they want to see. They're also not dominating the top tables so I don't see them feeling the need to correct them at all
@@TheGlacialGeek That's the thing though, the armies that ARE dominating the top tables haven't been touched enough, and the ones that are barely winning get nerfed into irrelevance. RIP to my Firestorm Assault Sallys. Hopefully they keep their mitts of DA long enough for me to finish 2k points and play some.

that's a small mess. Sad to say when I have no projects my table is that messy. maybe not an open wet pallet but every thun else.
Love love your "find the Joy" emphasis in the video. To many people complaining about things vs enjoying something.
My takes on what I would have changed. Take it with a grain of salt because I don't compete really. I would have taken Jump Pack Assault Ints in place of Scouts. Drop the Lion (BIG SAD I KNOW) and take an impulsor for your inner circle companions and Azzy, start the game with him on the battlefield for the CP before embarking. Throw in a Gladiator Lancer maybe for the ranged punch. The Jump Packs really help with the secondaries and the impulsor will help get the inner circles where they need to be. Finally, I'd take just one unit of Assault Ints just to have some battleline
My latest list has two squads of Jump Pack Ints and an Assault Intercessor squad so you were right on the same wavelength as me 😉

That's me. And I switch between 3 projects a week. Its a pain but keeps the brain from hyper stressing. So before each job I will put away the paints just to pull more out!

Sort of, I used to do the same exact thing but it was chaotic. So now I have a specific shallow box that sits on my desk that the paints I'm using for a project sits in all contained. And the added bonus is it fits in all my travel painting boxes for when I go paint in my L.G.S. so I just have to grab and go 😅
More like nail polishes, acrylic powders, and gel products. 😝
It's not dead, but it's well on its way to being dead. After the more intense forced insertion of contemporary leftist worldviews and the consequent bastardization of the lore itself and the Wh40k universe, people began to drift away. Especially the gaslighting regarding Custodies. And the increase in prices only enhanced and accelerated the drift away from and abandonment of the hobby. And the "targeted modern audience" for which they bastardized the lore has no money for the hobby. What nobody in the hobby cared about until yesterday, i.e. whether a fellow player was of this or that worldview of this or that gender, GW decided to make it a yardstick by declaring that "you will not be missed" if you disagree with their politics. Everything they - the leftists - touch is dead.

Back in the old days I painted most of my models lol I've upgraded my armies many times in fact I don't have any 1st edition models any more and have played since then too. No new models. Should I say my armies are Space Marines imperial Guard Sister's Orks Genstealers and Tyranids and that's also only my 40k
