After refurbishing and fitting the original brake callipers to my 2000 Kawasaki Ninja ZX9r I took it for a quick spin ton test them out. I am definitely happy I decided to go back to the original callipers for this awesome old sports bike.   I just picked up a 2015 er6f, with 11k miles on it and in damn good condition, and im loving it, its my first "big bike", but it is a big bike! Its way faster than ill ever need😂. I love it. Thanks for the vid dude, its getting on now but still relevant.

  @@HalfdeadRider Man, I was so surprised how fast it picks up from ~3rd gear going through the gear box up to about 70mph(definitely no faster, I swear), Maybe I'll get used to it and want something more, but i can't see it personally. Its sits nicely in the middle of the revs at 70mph-ish, and could do it all day I think. The screen takes a reasonable amount of wind blast off my chest, and its looks great. I'm in Norwich too, so if I see you about on your blue Kawasaki, ill give you a wave, or maybe a cooler side nod 😂. Thanks for the reply dude. 👍🏻

  @@OptimalGoat ok mate mate, might see you around soon. My ZX9r is off the road while I save to get a full clutch kit for it, should hopefully be back on two wheel in two-three weeks. Enjoy the bike and stay safe 👍

  @@BeansOnToast_YT unfortunately can't as it now needs a new clutch and right hand side switch gear as my rear lights don't work due to a snapped connection on the front brake light switch, could bodge it but dont wany to do that although it would be a lot cheaper. I really like the extra bits at the end if your vids 😂

  They came up even better than i imagined, luvley job. During this you used the word scew-wiff, i haven't herd that word used for donkeys. It sent me off down a rabbit hole. It was first used in 1754 by a chap called B Mathews 😊

  Seems like you're the goto man for brake calipers in your area. Them pots that were really stuck, wouldn't Billy blow torch have shifted them? Nice to see Buddy get a mentioned when he came to see what you were up too.

  Probably won't be long until I do another set for someone, I did think could I do this and make some money 😂 If I had used a lot of heat it would probably just make them worse, partly as the seals will melt and possibly mainly be the dust seals as the main seals are deeper, then the dust seals would likely act like a glue as they harden again. It worked out better with the replacement though, and still not that costly overall for the calipers alone. Yea I thought it would be good to keep that interaction with Buddy in there, pity he wasn't on camera. My old cat was on my old chain and sprocket video only weeks before she passed at almost 18 back in 2019 😎

  A lot of people don't realize these extenders are not meant to be left on permanently. You only put it on when you're inflating the tire, then remove it.

  Didn't look both ways on the manual handling when the bike was out of its space. I thought that would be a fail. Also doing all the mirror checks on the controlled stop is overkill I think.

  @@CrescendoEvents 😂 why not! This video was put together from my practice day as I was told they would not allow me to record it. I passed with zero faults, but if I hadn't looked around quite enough during the manual handling (haven't watched through this in years so can't comment on whether I did or not at that time), I doubt it would be a fail, probably just a minor fault.

  It's a little tough tbh, both are great bikes and I'd happily own both together if I could. Just from riding this gen 1, it's lower centre of gravity makes it feel feather light in comparison when manual handling, but when riding the ZX9r just feels better if brutal acceleration is what you want from 0-175mph. The 10r just felt that you had to wind it up a little before the torque really kicked in.

  There are in other scenarios, but it was impossible in this situation, the other collet was still in and would likely have jumped out amd dropped the valve.

  I noticed the bottom of my 2007 ninja has 2 hose valve’s that can be inserted but only has 2 pipes. I know which one is the gas vaulve but I don’t know where to connect the other hose to? Help please

  They are mate, it was just me Buddy and three cats for ten years, lost my old cat at nearly 18 in 2019, now it's just me and two almost 13 y/o cats. Animals never let us down no matter what, 100% better than people.

  They were already on the bike, but I'm sure both were sold by pyramid plastics, the cowl needs painting, not sure they sell the frame covers any more tbh.

  Thank you, I miss him so much. gone a week already almost to the minute I am typing this. It is so strange not having him here and taking him out etc, it is going to take a while to get used to and figure out what to do with myself. I lost a cat back in 2019, she was almost 18 too. I'll try and get out on the bike as much as possible and hope to get videos out of them.

  @HalfdeadRider it's always so terrible. I don't know what is best for you but we couldn't last a week, we took another from shelter and this kitten was wild. All the trouble we had with her at first took the mind away from thinking about the loss. With dog it's most likely more difficult in so many ways. 🤗💝 Ride, as the weather is good now and make videos, it's fun to watch. 🍻☀️

  Sorry to hear that mate. I know how it feels i had to bury my brother in may last year then had to make the hard decision in October to put one of my dog to sleep after a year of her fighting bladder cancer.

  R.I.P Buddy So sorry to learn that Buddy has passed, I hope you're able to take comfort that you gave him the best life possible, not every dog is so lucky. and so touching that you carry a memento with you on your ride.   I'll take a look, probably another one as mine is parked as seen in my video. I have seen at least two other ZX9r's in the same colours and same year there before, mine is a bit distinctive with the Saffron Gold wheels. The ZX6r came in the same colours at the time too, livery is slightly different, but there is one I see locally quite often.

  Man I have a 07 ER6F ninja 650r or whatever I wanna call her she blue and I was wondering how to fix the sticky throttle or can I upgrade the keys to make it run better mine only has 19000 miles on her lmk boss

  Possibly needs new throttle cables, simple job on that bike.
