The ladies stay in the ring & Caudle too wayyyy too long, looked like they got no direction here. As soon as the schmozz started they all should have been out of there. Almost got in the way & got hurt

I used a toe hold on my sister. She screamed loudly. Dad came to her rescue by slapping me hard. Glad I did not cause injury.

Ki/Kamala's gimmick was genius. And he made it so believable too! He really got into the character. It's like the Undertaker; a simple gimmick on paper but you had to find the right guy who would "get it" and make it work. Over time Kamala went the same path as guys like Mad Dog Vachon. Without really understanding kayfabe and all of the intricacies of the wrestling world, people organically and naturally rallied behind Kamala even before he made his first face turn. I think people ended up figuring out the guy was a good person deep inside. Kamala was one of my faves growing up.

This interview is between May 13th 1983 and May 10th 1983...because Harley beat Ric May 10th 1983 to become world champion again until Flair won it back at Starcade 83

Side note... to be totally honest (duh), Karl and Dusty were very good friends. When Lynda (Karl's wife) gave birth to their son, Dusty was one of the first to call and congratulate the new parents. He asked, "What are you going to name him ?" Karl replied, "We're naming him Cody." Dusty said, "I like that name. In fact, if we have another son then that's what we're gonna name him too...Cody." And, of course, they did and he is now one of the WWE's top stars and current Universal champion.

What escapes most ppl about Race was his inhuman strength among other things, when they did all the hype about bozo Hulk Hogan body slamming Andre the Giant in what, Wrestlemania 3 was it, Harley Race picked up and body slammed Andre out on the arena floor and it barely got noticed. Don't believe me. Watch. kzread.info/dash/bejne/f6p107FygJqycqg.html
