This video helped me so much. Thank you for your incredible work and explaining things step by step!
I think my initial balance was done wrongly. When I turn on my gimble the camera is listing on an right angle. Is there a way to reset this so my camera is in a balanced position?
Thank you very much, your tutorial is very complete and I like that you get straight to the point.
Thanks glad it’s useful
I can't thank you enough!, I received my Ronin RS4 Pro today, and thanks to your video, I got most of the accessories to work just fine :) I haven't tried the focus motor yet, but I'm sure when I do install it, I'll ge going back to your Video for the step by step instructions. BTW, this is the first time I've seen any of your videos, you are now + 1 subscriber to your channell
Thanks so much for subbing
Interestingly I used this technique on a few of my images and the AI left "ghosting" artifacts, thoughts? ie. the previous- in this case person, was still faintly visible...In PS terms 30 percent opacity. In PS i do not have this same issue.
Run it again over the ghosts
@@photoshopcafe Thanks I will try.
YES! I really need this. Have they released it yet (as of June 1 2024)?
You answered so many of my questions thank so much
Happy to help!
This update has broken Lightroom for me! Photos won’t import, system hangs doing basic things, etc. I’d recommend waiting for the next stable release!!
Great video !
Thanks!
Hi has this reflection removal tool been seen anywhere since?
Aloha (again) from Honolulu. Checking out your full course! Takk!
Aloha from Honolulu, Been using Photoshop for decades. And still learning! Great videos! Cheers.
Aloha from Honolulu. Fabulous! Mahalo!
Thanks for this!
With the Sony a7iii it's not that easy, as you're limited to what you can do. Meaning it looks like you can have either one function working while the other is on reserve. If I connect to the transmitter it won't allow me to view via phone view via app. if I with wires around and settings via camera. You can't use the record Botton on the rs4 to record via gimbal
I haven’t used A73 since RS2, so not sure how it works 2 versions later. However I was able to control all back then. Use the multi cable on that one
@@photoshopcafe Yes, I will be looking at that.
Great review. Thank you 😊
Great process compared to what I’ve seen on past videos. If your using a lens that has a lens foot would you suggested mounting it on that foot instead of the camera? I’m using a Sony 28-135mm
If that’s where your center of balance is and you have freedom of movement, you can try it. Although not an ideal gimbal lens, it might work. You’ll never use it at the longer settings. I usually use 17-28. But wanted to show you can set up a heavier lens
@@photoshopcafe I managed to do it from the camera and it works great. Now to see if I can control the power zoom from the gimbal.
Great tutorial, Colin. Thank you!
My pleasure!
Thank you, but even with this fix, Adobe generative fills is still very bad, at least for photographers or creative artists that works with people photos. Probably it's even worse than before, because of its heavy and bigoted censoring. Cannot work with people because cannot use a lot of common terms, like "lips", "belly", "bikini", "fingers" and so on, and even using "safe" terms, two thirds of the times the program says that something went wrong with results and don't display them. It seems that Photoshop would like to control its AI engine results, but it really can't, so it ends up censoring everything...
You are an absolute life saver,First gimbal purchase today & I was overwhelmed with all the bits & pieces but luckily I stumbled across your tutorial which was really informative and explained thoroughly, thank you
Glad to help
Photography is now Redundant, or will be very soon, camera manufacturers be aware!
Thank you very much Colin, you are great!!!
Blurry. Not ready.
Hi Colin! Thanks for a great video! I have one question. The "update all masks" in my panel is grayed out. I followed your Gazebo picture instructions to a tee but it remains grayed out. Any ideas? Thanks,
Had you created any masks before applying ai remove?
Thanks Colin for the quick response. I went over you video again to make sure I was ding it right and it still didn't work. So I uninstalled, rebooted my computer, and re-installed LR Classic. Same problem. My MAC laptop is 7 years old but I've haven't had any other issues so I don't think it's the computer. Thanks again for everything you do.
i was following the steps, but everything under the 3D menu is grayed out for me except Spherical Panorama and Get More Content. what should i do?
Adobe had retired these features in Photoshop. A while back I did another tutorial called “how to keep 3d working in Photoshop” or something like that
Feelin' great after my photoshopCAFE hit. Thank you so much Colin. Excellent post as always. Much appreciated.
Thanks!
brilliant
Was NOT helpful, screen too small and I can not see what you are selecting. Arrrghhhhh... I need help
Great tip...thank you...
I did not know about removal before masking. I have also found that the masks can also interfere with the color adjustments too. On the other hand, a subject mask can adjust and remove from the background very well. For example, i use lens blur on the background pretty often.
Good update, especially with updating masks! Thank you!
Update Masks--AMAZING! Great tips, thank you!
Thanks for watching!
Just because of 1024res. it is not of any value for me. I wonder if the res. will change when early access becomes full access.
Update Ai mask was very helpful, great tutorial again.
Glad you think so!
How about WOW, and Thanks!
Is scribble select available in Photoshop? Or just Lightroom?
LR and ACR
Thank you for the deeper dive. I've had a few of the problems you covered, and my mistake was doing the mask first. It's nice to know that you can update the mask. At times, it still seems to have trouble (less now), but this is the first version. What a powerful tool for Lightroom. I'm picky, and no one covers advanced techniques like you!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you so much. I watched a previous video on this but this episode went a little deeper.
Glad it was helpful!
Great to know, just need to practise more cos I can’t get it work the way I expect, thanks again!
Why nobody mentions LR Generative Fill doesn’t do a good job on removing things from the sky ? PS does it better. I find that the engine is different. Everyone is selling the same bag of rocks…😂
👏🏾👍🏾🙏🏾 🏴🇸🇪🇹🇹
Thank you! You look very much like George W.Bush and you move your lips exactly the same way as he does. I got a choc when I opened your video... 🙂
Gr8 video Colin. I`m still converned about this 1024 resolution thing though. Is there any way to improve this, like you did with your Action in Photoshop to improve the quality, or when printing, have you still got to go over to Photoshop and remove objects using that Action that you gave us all? Cheers Colin
Usually I'm not removing big elements, and a soft background after removing a distracting element is not an issue for most of my images. But when it is, and when I can't clone in sharper background as Colin shows in this video, I can usually avoid the problem by removing smaller chunks in multiple passes, or using Remove in PS. But then my Raw files are only about 23 MB. A photog with a 55 MB full-frame sensor will run into this issue more often than I.
Use for smaller objects than say 1500px which is 5 inches at 300ppi. 1024 is obviously perfect, but you can usually sneak a little extra. For larger distractions, use Photoshop
@@photoshopcafe Thanks for your answer Colin, its much appreciated.
Thanks Collin for more great tips - It's OK for quick edits but still prefer to jump into Photoshop for anything further, also it's really slow compared to photoshop and a little more clumsy in this early access state. But like I said - a great time saver for quick fixes and great tool to have within Lightroom.
Thanks for sharing!
Scribble Select ! Great description.
your sessions are always great , thank you
You're most welcome!
Is this exclusive to Lightroom or do we have it in Photoshop ACR too?
Yes - it's in ACR too - not sure why you would use it there though when you have much more control in Photoshop
It's in ACR 0.09 secs into the video
@@blackislepeas sorry, my mistake.
Excellent session. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Went to a concert last week There was anannoying speaker in front of singer Spoiled a lot off pics But Generative fill made a perfect job INSANE
Nice! Very helpful tools to try and play with Colin!
Glad you liked it!
