    We've been having nothing but issues with vehicle coverage. We're unable to decode vin on some 4 & 3 year old vehicles such as Ford, GM etc. There are no pending updates on the device. We can't enter the vehicle manually such as the 2021 Ford Explorer or even a 2020 Chevy truck.

    This guy was extremely annoying to watch with his hands waving all over the place. And if it only measures the outside pad that's not really useful information. It's almost always the inside pad that wears out first or has issues.

    It doesn’t measure pad thickness, it measures rotor surface evenness. Probably used the rust ring on the outer edge to determine if the rotor is too thin

    What an absolute joke. Literally the only reason I came to check this thing out was for brake pad inspection. It's only checking the outboard pad. Anyone can see tire wear, and see the outer pad.

    Having to connect to the battery terminals to be able to test a battery that is hidden under a seat or inside the firewall, trunk etc isn't functional. The OBD port should be able to give all info needed, also using the vin number should give the exact battery type and not an extensive list of batteries. I deeply regret buying this product for almost $400 that doesn't deliver much more than a $150 one.

    Worst experience ever they never fixed the issue along with that they kept my vehicle for several days. When I went to pickup my vehicle he gave me a piece of paper and told me take it to Chevy mind you I already paid them $679.00 for them to take my hard earned money what a digrace . I took it to Chevy and was out more money. I called spoke with the manager he then contacted his district manager, he offered me 2 free oil changes mind you they took $679.00 for a service never completed 😒 I reached out again never got a call back from either one. I also contacted customer service support you got it right NOTHING. Do not go there a joke and waste of time and money but I guess this is the Midas way of doing business steal from you and let other dealership fix the problem you paid them to do. If someone know how I can get help with this matter please reach out Please.

    It wasn't obvious what sort of probe to use since the secondary voltage is very high and is likely to destroy an ordinary oscilloscope. Also, some instruction on where to put it would be useful.

    What happens if radar has moved location after new bumper install, will recalibration change it to new position. Or do you have to move radar to a new position, hope that makes sense.

  • @TechShopMag
    @TechShopMag Жыл бұрын

    The blind spot sensor must be installed in the exact same position as it was from the factory or it will fail calibration. Calibration is required anytime the rear bumper has been removed, collision has occurred, or if the sensor has been replaced.

    The Autodiagnos Pro does not currently have key programming capabilities. However, because Continental continues to issue new software updates on a quarterly basis, so there is the possibility that it includes this feature in the future.

    Why do you not mention it needs a proper alignment? And was that done at the body shop?

  • @TechShopMag
    @TechShopMag Жыл бұрын

    Hello Derek, In the interest of video length and focusing on the main procedures we didn’t outwardly mention the alignment, but you are correct in the fact that it is required. One of the beneficial features of Hunter’s ADASLink system is that it guides you through the calibration process, and prior to beginning, there is always a screen that lists any required pre-conditions. In this video, that screen is shown between 3:27 and 3:30, and the alignment is listed along with the other pre-conditions for this specific procedure. It may be easy to miss, but it’s a great point to remember. Also, in this case, we performed the alignment in-house prior to this procedure. Thanks for watching TechShop videos!
